Absolute worst car rental experience. The difference between them & enterprise is night and day. I would recommend actually cleaning your vehicles once someone is finished with them…

Worst people ever at Kirkland location. The car was returned on Mar 11 and they charged us from March 12 - March 17. Called customer service many times and went to Kirkland location they are very rude and no one helped to return our money. Never will get car from Hertz .

The car rental experience was smooth. They charge per hour on the last day before you return the car, so try and return it early.

Ran into an issue with a windshield chip with the staff. There was no checkup guided by the staff when I checked out the car. I also didn’t do it by myself, cause I never expected this to happen and I usually very much trust the provider. Probably that’s part of the mistake I had. Then after a short while, I noticed the chip, but I assumed it would be fine, which could be part of my mistake again. Then we had some discussions when I checked back in. I won’t complain about that part and I wished to deal with professional way to find out solution. But just don’t want to admit it since I really couldn’t recall the windshield was hit by any flying stones. Happy to do follow ups. But one of the staff was extremely rude and showing unacceptable attitude. Smashing things on the desk and just turned around with loud speaking. A short while after, I got an email with a report with my signature forged. No matter whose responsibility of the chip it would be determined finally, this is extremely bad customer service and I would never go to this rental again. The conditions of the car was pretty good, which I’m fine with for 1 star.

Booker a car via Expedia, showed up at the location and they told me my reservation is cancelled. Called Expedia and they told me my reservation is still active. The branch manager Thuc didn't want to help and acted irritated. Definitely not a good service.

Would have given zero stars if I could. The problem is not in the location as much, but Hertz as a whole. I needed a car for a trip from WA to TX. Shopped around for quotes and was given a $119.52 by Hertz. Other companies quoted much higher. I went with Hertz, thinking that I got such a great deal due to the corporate discount that they offered. In the end of the trip I was charged $672.15. Apparently, they did not include a charge per mile into their original quote (while other companies had). Somehow, the person at the counter when I was receiving the car failed to point that info to me. I am sure I signed something in the small print where I agreed to pay for additional miles. I spent about 30 min on the call with the customer service rep (most of those min were spent in waiting to get a rep) and was promised a refund. Over a month later I had to call back again as the refund had never been issued. This time I was told that the charges were correct and that I would not be given any money back. I should have paid more attention during the pick up, but I am appalled by the fraudulent quote that I was given. When submitting info I put the start location in WA and destination in TX. How on earth were the miles not taken into account? The only answer is - purposeful misleading. Just as a comparison - I would have paid under $300 if I were to go with Avis. I also couldn't do the contactless return in TX, even though I specifically called in advance to request it and was assured that I could return contactless. Overall I am extremely dissatisfied.

Very great prices; inexpensive daily all incompensing insurance and clean cars. I was expecting a ho-hum sedan and instead got an awesome ride, Jeep 4x4 sport!!! Awesome ride, full of pep and it might be my next car

I was given a van when I booked a car to drive across the country. He was well aware that I was driving across the country with it, yet was given a filthy car, with no windshield wiper fluid, 2 torn windshield wipers, and 27% oil life. I was forced to pay out of pocket for my wipers and fluid and waste 2 hours of my trip getting an oil change. Got stuck in some snow on my way home only to find out my tires were completely bald. Was forced to pull over for hours until the roads were cleared. It’s clear the person running this store doesn’t check on his vehicles before sending them out on the road unsafe. The van was so dirty it was unreal. It was proven to me that he doesn’t check his vehicles when they return, when on my receipt it shows I only put 2,085 miles on the car, when in fact I put more than 5,000 miles on it. Shame on Thuc and any other person who runs a business like this. I will never use hertz again

The worst rental experience in 50 years. Lost my key tried to call Hertz Kirkland. Endless loop. Tried to call roadside assistance and after 37 minutes of waiting they hung up. Horrifyingly bad.

Proceeded to penny pinch me for every little detail upon return. Had changed my return date a few times due to the delay of the repair shop. The associate over the phone even clarified that the change in dates wouldn't be an issue. Once I returned the vehicle I was hit with multiple "change" and "late" fees which they wouldn't waive although I was told the change in return dates wouldn't be a problem. Here's a crazy idea... how about give a courtesy to your customers who rent for 4+ weeks on end and if you are going to charge extra then bring that up in the first place. Side note; your $2 tolls when taking express lanes will quickly turn to $9 with the "transaction fees." More concerned about a dollar amount than hospitality. Typical
