I am looking into a lawyer to sue my mail carrier directly since the Postmaster Ken will not due anything about any situation or any complaints against her. I honestly wish she would retire and go away she's so volatile. I have lived off 148th for quite a few years now and have ALWAYS had problems with her even right from the beginning . She absolutely REFUSES to deliver packages and NEVER leaves a notice so if I didn't have the saving grace of an actual tracking number I wouldn't even know I had a package. There has been multiple times I have went to pick up packages she wouldn't deliver and had packages already sitting there that had NEVER BEEN SCANNED OR EVEN ATTEMPTED DELIVERY. They were literally on the verge of being sent back and EASILY DELIVERABLE SIZE. She just WON'T DELIVER ANY PACKAGES. And there is nothing the USPS or Yelm Post Office will do about it at all. This mail carrier is flat out lazy and doesn't do her job or even care. I have tons of order screenshots that I have been saving for my case showing time stamps of scanned packages before 10AM in the morning, our mail is NEVER delivered until MID AFTERNOON OR LATER. I keep track of everything and I have also recorded each time she has done this, over 125 deliveries and counting. In my opinion it's either take her to court or start a signature petition of every customer on our mailing route to have her removed. If the USPS Yelm Post Office won't do anything than WE AS RESIDENTS AND CUSTOMERS have the right to take matters into our own hands.

Full of thieves. They tried to steal 5 packages of mine. So now I make I blatantly obvious I am home and never leave before mail is delivered especially if I am expecting something. Yet still they think they can get away with walking up to my house, not knocking and then claiming that they failed to deliver package after "ringing the (nonexistent) doorbell " when I was literally in my front room and know they never knocked.

This place is awful. I don’t understand how a post office can work like this. First of all, every time you go in the people behind the counter are extremely rude. There is one older guy who has been nice and helpful, but others act like you are inconveniencing them when you go to pick up a package. The biggest issue though is our mail carrier. When we moved into our house we didn’t have a mailbox. After talking to some people at the post office, I was told I could put a mailbox in a row where other mailboxes were. I was told it had to be the same height and distance from the street as the other mailboxes, but putting it in between or at the end of the row was fine. $200 and lots of work later, we managed to get it put up and followed all directions we were given. It’s been weeks and we’ve only received our mail twice. Come to find out the mail carrier doesn’t like where we put our mailbox, even though it’s in the row and we followed all directions we were given. They are now saying they want our box in between a specific other box, not at the end of the row. I am absolutely upset. It’s shocking to me that one person (the mail carrier) has the power to refuse to give us our mail simply because the box isn’t where she wants it. Why didn’t they give more specific instructions to begin with? Now we have to find time and money to move our box and put a new one? We have put in a formal complaint and hope to speak with someone higher up on the usps ladder soon.

At least 3 packages that were supposed to be delivered by USPS Have tracking that state delivered to my mailbox, however, these items would not have fit in my mailbox and they were not left at our address or with neighbors. In two weeks of living in Yelm, 3 packages have not made it to me. This is unacceptable.

I am so sick and tired of the mailman delivering my packages to the wrong house/wrong mailbox. They always deliver it so the house that has 1 number difference from mine, they never check, never pay attention to their one job they have to do. I was okay with it at first but now it ALWAYS happens. Luckily the neighbors always bring me my packages, but COME ONE! It’s not that hard to check the address, the house numbers are literally inside the mailbox too.. how do they keep doing this when everytime they’re at the mailbox they take FOREVER ! I miss the mailman from before.

I like so many others on here would rather give this Post Office zero stars if I had the choice. I am new to the area and the problems that I am having with mail being delivered is atrocious. First issue: A couple of weeks ago, the woman post deliverer shoved an oversized package into my mailbox, breaking some of it's contents. Then several days later proceeded to speed into my drive BLASTING her horn 6 times, came to my door and POUNDED on it. I am a full time working mom from home with an infant. I thought she had a package so I thanked her through my open window and she rudely told me that I need to start cleaning out my mail box once a week, mind you I had just gotten my mail 2 days prior. Second issue: Last week the same woman post deliverer comes speeding into my driveway, honked her horn, and the almost hit my dog. I asked her kindly to please not honk her own, she jumped out of her vehicle and told me to call the Post Office because it's a requirement. I told her I find that unnecessary because I am asking her personally. I told her I have an infant who is often napping at her delivery times. She came back with "I just wont deliver to your door anymore", gave my dog a treat and said "i'm sorry you have a mean owner". Third issue: This week I had a package scheduled for delivery from USPS for the 11th. The same woman post deliverer put a note on the package as undeliverable and put a slip in my mailbox to come and pick up my package at the Post Office. I rescheduled the drop off for 4/14 and got the same exact slip. At this point, I have filed a formal complaint with the Postal Service for the first and 2nd issues and will be continuing to do so every time that she refuses to do the job that she is paid for.

I remember when the Yelm Post Office use to Care about their Customers, the Cleanliness, Friendliness and the Professionalism. They use to take Pride in their Facility and it showed back then! Now, the products and mail are often damaged, the Employees aren't as friendly anymore and the facility isn't as Clean. I hope some day this can all change and it can become that place I knew it to be once again!

This place is a joke. Don’t expect a competent answer or resolution to your issue. For the last few weeks, the mail carrier has refused to deliver our mail because we put in a new mailbox in that was 4 inches back than the previous one. The postmaster general Ken, said that there is nothing he can do about it and it is completely up to the mail carrier to deliver the mail or not. I have escalated this incident higher and expect a resolution. If you can avoid this place, please do.

****Warning**** This is the worst post office I have ever had to deal with In my life! Giving even one star kills me. Might as well not even have a post master, as he (Ken) rather than doing his job, gives full rein/decision making to his staff. Discrimination towards residents within this district is clearly encouraged and backed under his watch. Your mail will be held if your mail box doesn’t meet the mail providers personal preference. When asked for regulations pertaining to this matter not one employee at this location could give an answer, that is to include Ken. My spouse and I have spent many years serving our country in the U.S Military, and with that comes struggles. Due to our mail being withheld we have missed many appointments with the VA, which took months to get in the first place. Ladies and gentlemen consider yourself warned. This is possibly how you will be repaid as well.

This post office does not send second/final notices for packages or letters. The notices they do send do not contain any information. Also be sure to take photos of important receipts because the ink on their paper fades quickly and apparently they have no other way of tracking packages besides your receipt.
