A Wonderful Pharmacy to Work with!

The wait at drive thru is ridiculous. I don't even know if they are aware of my presence- they don't acknowledge you are there. That is terrible customer service. We will be moving our prescriptions elsewhere.

I don’t know who in they right mind would high anyone that works here everytime I go they don’t know where it is or the difference between nausea medication and anti depression meds. Like seriously biggest waste of time and if your looking to pick up meds probs won’t be there……. Pathetic pharmacy

I've given this pharmacy several chances and brushed off slights by several employees here. I generally try to be empathetic when someone seems to be having a bad day, but no more. There is a male pharmacy tech there who has been rude, hurried, and passive aggressive with myself and my husband on more than one occasion and we observed the same mistreatment of other people there to pick up medicine from this guy. I had hoped that he was just a bad apple because the male pharmacist there is pretty awesome. He (the pharmacist) is very personable and seems to take pride in his profession. Today however, I had another very negative encounter with a different pharmacy tech over the phone. I recently got put on a new medication. I was aware that prior certification from my insurance had to happen and when my doctor called to tell me that they had faxed the approval to the pharmacy, I called the pharmacy to see if the medication would be ready in the next 45 minutes or so because I was already out and could've picked it up on my way home. Apparently that was a mistake. When I called, the tech who answered said that she didn't even know if it would go through, but she tried and it went through, cool. Then she went on to say that the doctor wrote it wrong and to tell me why it was wrong. But the doctor didn't write it wrong. We spent 20 minutes in his office going over the exact dosage that would be right for me and the best way to take the medicine that would help my body in the way that it needed to. I alerted her to this detail and then she went on to say that they didn't carry the needle or syringe type I needed and that the doctor would have to order something different and I would have to talk to him about that and that I should administer a different route so that I could get needles easier. Again. My doctor and I spent a lot of time determining the exact dosage and route that would be right for be. She has no right to move all this stuff around that my doctor and myself spent a lot of time talking about. On top of all this she was talking so fast I could barely get a word in edgewise and was dismissive of all that I had to say. She would periodically laugh about things that I would say in a sarcastic way and the whole experience was very demeaning. I eventually got off the phone with no idea when my prescription would be filled as she said the meds would be here tomorrow, but no idea on the needles, can't take the meds without the needles, and told me to maybe call my doctor about it. That is no way to treat a patient. I'm a medical assistant and I wouldn't dream of treating a patient this way. If there's an issue, you immediately call the doctor so that things can be hashed out between the two paid professionals. You don't set that burden on the patients shoulders, especially when the average person isn't necessarily an expert on medications and how they're administered. I'll admit that I'm not an expert, but I know enough to know that you don't treat people that way and I'm involved enough in my care to know why things are the way they were written. So hopefully my provider, or their assistants, will be able to sort things out with the pharmacy and I can get switched over to a different pharmacy because I've had nothing but headaches dealing with this one. Today's events were entirely uncalled for, unprofessional, and borderline unethical. Techs didn't go to medical school. Techs don't get to decide what is right and what is wrong. Yes, if something is off, call the physician, but you don't approach it that way with the patient.

Pharmacy staff has some bright individuals, but some literally need to be evaluated for the position or fired. For me to tell a pharmacist what medication I am taking and need to pick up, and to have him stay silent and attempt to sell me incorrect medication is screwed. Who sits there and attempts to sell you a medication that isn’t what you told them you were picking up? Someone needs to make sure the employees actually know what they’re doing because if Walmart is just hiring anybody for the positions, then I know I’m never doing business with this establishment again. This is the first Walmart to do this and something should be done about this.

The pharmacists are always very nice, very knowledgeable, and they take the time to make sure your questions are answered and you are comfortable with the prescription. That's not easy for them as they are understaffed as others have noted. Unlike those others, i don't mind waiting the extra 5 minutes for that level of service.

Overall had a good experience for the brief moment I interacted with the pharmacist. I asked if he knew if the store had a certain ointment I was looking for and he was interested in helping me and looked it up right away to see if they had it in store but said they didnt and I could find it online. He was very nice and genuinely seemed interested in helping me. I know I didnt have a genuine pharmacy experience but this did make me happy.

Could be a GREAT pharmacy if they staffed up to provide an adequate level of service. The service quality is very good, in fact they try too hard sometimes spend more time than needed in "i" dotting and "t" crossing. Closing this pharmacy for lunch is ridiculous and frustrating for customers. I am confident that business would increase if more staff were added. Walmart should have sufficient data to determine specific times of need, if not they should. Hours of operation could be expanded to accommodate earlier transactions.

I’m now banning Walmart!! They have lost a weekly customer for sure never again. The pharmacy is more worthless than their underpaid cashiers. No customer service skills. This is not the first time and they argue with me every single time. Never had a pharmacy tell me I must come into store to get my RX if I want within an hour (which is better than 15 min like Walgreens would do for me or actually wagreens would fill theRX my dr sent three days ago) or I’ll have to get next day and I’ve never had to call a pharmacy to tell them to fill a new RX for me that my dr was sent over three days ago!! Than manager argued with me! Just fill it im not coming to sit there an hour just so I can get my RX today that should have been filled three days ago. Like I’m telling you I’ll be there in hour what is point in me sitting there? Do not use this pharmacy! Horrible experience pharmacy and store.
