Order appliances from hometown store in Chippewa Falls. Fridge was scratched in numerous areas and ice maker did not dispense ice. Called the store and spoke with the "owner". He was completely condescending and rude. He found it "hard to believe" regarding any of the issues including the fridge being delivered in a completely different box and appeared to be used. He promised a full refund but didn't actually stick to his word. Salesman in store was nice and respectful but manager and owner are awful. Will never recommend that business to anyone, what a disgrace. Would give zero stars like it deserves, but not an option.

I needed a new washing machine and we were able to get it quickly and with no problems at a good price. There is a good selection to choose from and the staff is friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. Plus side you can recycle your old appliances there also when you pick up your new one.

Prices are usually fair, or a bit better. Small place which means you have to usually order. It's also nice that you can drop off old appliances. Great place if you are looking for new appliances.

This is more of a review about Sears in general. Purchased a refrigerator in Sept 2019. Fast forward to December 2020 and the fridge is not working. I call for the warranty and get the run around but eventually get the tech out to diagnose the fridge who ultimately defects the fridge for a replacement. Ordered a new fridge on Dec 30th 2020 and was told it would be in on Jan 6. Jan 6 rolls around and was told not until 1-29. Got called today and now being told the replacement we ordered won't be in until 2-12. Mind you we have now been without a fridge since just after Xmas. Trying to work with the warranty dept to get a refund for the whole purchase but now I'm told that is not possible because they supposedly have an equivalent replacement but I still have no fridge. Yes, I should have read the fine print. When talking with the warranty people was transferred no less than 3 times before talking to somebody who ultimately encouraged me to spend another $2400 purchasing online. Doesn't make any sense. Sears has the worst customer service and product support EVER! When asking for a manager I just get the run around. I dont fault Sears Hometown per se but there's HUGE disconnect between the store and purchasing online. The only gripe I have about Sears Hometown, is given these manufacturer delays, maybe they should add more delivery employees, creating more jobs, rather just delivering on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I call the store and am only told I can come in and find another equivalent, which would still give us no confirmed delivery time. The only thing people are telling me is all of these delays and issues are due to COVID but COVID does not mean you have to have shotty customer service! Update pending.... So as of 02-04, I finally received my fridge. After a lengthy conversation with Adam (owner) and him working diligently to locate a fridge, he was able to get us one and got a delivered as promised. I truly appreciate Adam's candidnedness and transparency. After his explanation and willingness to go the extra mile to satisfy a customer, I am bumping my rating to 3 stars. I hope this new fridge will work out better than the original. Thank you Adam for working so diligently and going the extra mile! We appreciate it!

Needed a simple Craftsman mower replacement blade. Website stated they were available and luckily on sale. Could not find one at the store, however, but finally cross-referenced to another number. The sale price was from another store in another part of the country despite putting in my current zip code. Bought blade at full price, found out it was not correct. Took my original blade in and matched it up. Price was less, but unfortunately, no refund of difference was possible they said. What?!? The experience was awful. Website does not give accurate info, process does not allow fixing their errors. Next blade gets ordered on Amazon where it'll show up the next day and be correct. If not, order will be corrected instantly, re-sent, and money adjusted without hassle. There's a reason why Sears is losing the battle, they aren't fighting.

Love this place! We got whole new stainless steel appliances for our kitchen for $2000 - WAY less than we thought we would have to spend! Also very friendly sales staff and the delviery of our appliances went very smoothly.

I took some craftsman hand tools there to get exchanged today. I was talked down to, treated like a child, scolded like i havent been in 40 some years, cursed at and just completely disrespected. I was instructed by a employee/manager that " he has 18 years of experience and knows what is warranted by craftsman and that he would not expect certain damaged tools" . I was prepared to purchase more hand tools when i was at the store, but decided that i would rather go elsewhere to purchase them. I will not EVER set foot into that store again, and will do what i can to spread the word about this experience.

We purchased a lawn tractor for my mother-in-law here recently. The sales lady was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She helped us narrow to a model fitting our needs well and we are very happy with the purchase. We definitely will continue to recommend them to others. They had a great selection of products also.

Staff was friendly and knowlegable. They carried all the top brands for appliances. We bought four appliances and put them on the Sears Card. I was surprised with how low the payments were even when we bought so much. My kitchen looks great now! Plus I had a little left over to buy a leaf blower.

On Sunday, Nov. 5th my wife and I stopped in to look for a dryer. Jennifer Wilson did a FANTASTIC job taking care of us. She did not pressure us , nor did she try to up sell us to by something we didn't need. She was very pleasant and informative. She waited on another couple and us at the same time and was great!! We definitely will come back because of her. We are glad there is a Sears Home store in Chippewa Falls. Thank you, Jim
