EDIT: This is an update, 6+ months after the original review. Raising to 5 stars. This CVS made some big changes, whether it be management or otherwise, we're not sure. Things are much better now. We can get through on the phone and don't have the previous problems with filling prescriptions. The staff has always been professional and courteous, that was never an issue. 1 STAR ORIGINAL: Let me be clear. We find the staff at this pharmacy to be professional and courteous despite their working conditions. As a customer, the problems at this pharmacy appear out of control as far as trying to call or get a prescription filled in a timely manner, the way properly staffed and managed pharmacies are. The staff does the best they can. I am currently in the process of contacting the individual(s) that oversee this store. The management needs to let the pharmacists fill prescriptions overnight to meet the demands. It is simply impossible for their staff to meet the demands on the community in Surprise being present only 12 hours a day. SHAME ON THE DISTRICT MANAGER FOR NOT OVERSEEING WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THIS PHARMACY!!! It has really gotten worse over the last several months. This pharmacy can no longer operate with a staff only present for 12 hours a day. They need to be filling prescriptions around the clock. It's bad enough there is no 24-hour pharmacy in the area. Someone will eventually be harmed by this situation and it's not the staff's fault. I HOPE THE DISTRICT MANAGER TAKES ACTION SOON FOR THE SAKE OF THIS COMMUNITY AND THE CURRENT STAFF AT THIS CVS LOCATION!!! SHAME ON YOU DISTRICT MANAGER!!! TAKE SOME INITIATIVE AND DO YOUR JOB!!! Currently, today, I've been on hold for over an hour trying to get in process prescriptions filled tomorrow. They are having trouble answering the phone, they are so busy. Let me be clear again, the staff is not to blame for what is happening at this CVS. The district manager(s) could take one look at the metrics for this store and see the customers are not getting the service and the staff is not treated right as far as reasonable working conditions!!!!! The customers are taking the hit for the poor management, as well as the staff! ATTENTION CVS UPPER MANAGEMENT: SEND IN THE CALVARY please - the staff are friendly at this store despite their working conditions. People in Surprise need their prescriptions filled and they need a 24 hour pharmacy in the event of ER visits and unforeseen health incidents. Get it together CVS management, the situation here can't keep on like this especially with more houses being built and a growing population. COME ON CVS ELITE, do your job.

This has to be the worst CVS ever, It’s about time management here stepped up and paid their employees with better pay becuase their Pharmacy is awful due to lack of employees - Think twice before you move your scripts here - appalling.

Waiting on 1 Prescription to be Filled and Actually Receiving it 1 Full Hour from Call In Time is really Unexceptionable. I Arrived at This CVS Pharmacy Counter to pick up My Prescription…I was Originally told they just got the Prescription Called in & it will take about 20 to 30 minutes to fill it. I walked up to the Same Cashier Counter an hour later requesting My Prescription while waiting in the Pharmacy that entire Time for them to call me up to get… it which NEVER happened This CBS Pharmacy Location at Cotton Lane & Greenway Rd.Definitely Needing Improvement in Serving Customers. Especially In a Professional Accurate Time Frame.

My prescription was transferred to this pharmacy from home. After I read the reviews I was worried about using this location. But, I had the best experience in this store! The pharmacist was very helpful and even helped me get a discount on my items and assisted locating items on the shelf in the aisle. Before leaving, I realized I needed to get a charging chord for my phone. A pleasant gentlemen assisted me and showed me exactly the chord to get for my model. I am glad that I can write this positive review for such an good experience. Please don't judge a business by previous reviews. Go for yourself and see how kind and professional the staff is!

My prescriptions are never ready! It's frustrating because they could save me alot of gas had they answer their phone, but they never do! I've had no choice but to drive there & this happened a few times ! When I do, they give me the run around! " I don't see it here . What medicine are you expecting? I see it now and it is currently being processed. It will be ready tomorrow" as if gas is cheap!. Definitely don't recommend this location! Poor service all around and I'm sure they do not care.

Getting help from anyone at this location can't happen because they never answer the phone. My insurance has advised that they will only pay for certain prescriptions of mine if I get it from CVS. What a sick joke. You can't get anyone from corporate on the phone either. Waiting on the phone for over an hour and I have no choice about where I get my medicine? What is wrong with the medical industry and those that are supposed to be in the pharmaceutical care business? No choices and no service and prescriptions filled late. You should be ashamed to call yourselves a part of the medical industry.

I'd been on hold for almost 2 hours. This is just poor customer service. I was calling because on my account it said to call the store to fill my syringe prescription, but I was on hold for so long that I just said forget it and I ordered them from Amazon. Much cheaper too. You snooze, you lose.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy ever!!! The are horrible!! The wait times are insane. I called them the other day and was on hold for 45 minutes. What a complete joke this place is. They just don't care. I use them because I am only about a mile away but let me tell you. I am done with this worthless place. I will definitely be looking for someplace that just has half way decent service. Most of the time when I go in it is not uncommon to see customer throw their hands in the air, raise their voice, and express their frustration. Great job CVS management!!

Worst Pharmacy I’ve ever had, you wait on hold for 10 minutes, you wait in line for 20 plus minutes, the staff is not friendly, nor offers to provide even decent service. It’s understandable the current state of our healthcare but we are all experiencing that stress, customer service is their job requirement. The location one mile away is fast, friendly, and efficient. Why can they do a great job and not this location?
