Everyone is very helpful and friendly! The staff are welcoming and even wrote my doggy's name on the mirror/dry erase board (where they wrote other expected patients for that day). 08/27/22 time for yearly vaccination n check up! Very friendly staff. Dr. n staff explained everything I needed to know!

Since covid they have had a strict protocol. You park your car in the parking lot and then call or text them you're here. Usually they allow one person in with the pet, however I guess since my dog was only getting a shot, they took her in and had me wait outside. I took my other dog with me to the store to look for something. I was on my way back when I received the text to pay. I didn't have a chance to check out when the worker inside came out and was going to check me out. I told her I got the text and am trying to pay now. They don't release your dog until you pay. I was able to get the refill prescription for my dog and rabies certificate too. Over all not bad. If you have a bonded pair of dogs and they're due for the same check up, they will let you in, but that was in April and I'm not sure if they changed their policy.

You just have my cat seen been there many times but of course they’re booked up I understand that but you can’t go on a semi emergency a week and a half out.. no recommendations to go to emergency we’re really booked up,, So I took the day off of work and I won’t tell you the rest of the story it doesn’t matter but they should have a referral service or somebody else in mind.. Just my two cents out other than that they’ve been great but you have to have an appointment

This company charged my debit card TWICE without my consent. I've never done business with them and know nothing about them. I called them to try to determine why my card was charged and to see if there was a legitimate purpose, and the woman that answered "Selena" was rude and nasty. These fraudulent charges (which she confirmed I did not receive service for) forced me to have to cancel my debit card of several years and drive and hour each way to my credit union to get a replacement card in addition to having to change the card I have on file with so many companies that I actually do business with that I auto pay with this same card. I did try to speak to the manager about this, but she was conveniently "in a meeting" and so I'm waiting for a call back, but won't be surprised if I don't receive one based on the lack of professionalism from Selena. All I can say is to be careful. I still do not know how they got my information as this vet hospital is at least two hours away from where I live and I've never visited them or ordered anything from them. The charges were small, but my credit union advised that this is often the case before a larger attempt is made. Very unfortunate and a big waste of my time.

I recently adopted two kittens, (one of which became infected with ringworm,) so I decided to take them both in for a check up, their third dose of a vaccine, and to get my one kitten medication for his ringworm. As I was making the appointment the receptionist on the phone told me specifically that I had to bring stool samples for both kittens, to which I obliged. However, during the appointment, (which took about 30 minutes before I was even seen by the vet,) the vet was very careful not to regard my kitten as having ringworm, and instead mentioned that it “could” be some form of a fungal infection and then gave me a few links to chewy.com to order anti-fungal wipes. The vet was also vaguely mentioning how susceptible kittens are to potentially having leukemia and heart disease but did not discuss much more than that. About another 30 minutes later, to my total surprise, the vet tech came in and gave me my bill of almost $1,000 in total for both kittens. The bill was FULL of charges for tests we did not discuss running, vaccines I was not informed about, a substantial charge to test the stool samples I was told I NEEDED to bring in, charges to join their own pet care club, and an $85 charge for both kittens for their check up, (although I was told that our first time visit would waive the fee.) When I asked the vet tech what these charges were for it was clear that they were attempting to upsell me as he didn’t have anything beyond a superficial description to give me. When I refused to pay for the myriad of things that they had added without my consent, the vet tech began to condescend me by acting as if I was putting my kittens lives in danger, and it was only after I became agitated with him that he completely backed down and removed the charges and waived the first time visit fee. Altogether the new total came down to $330. Afterwards, I was sent an online link to pay for the services, yet no one told me that the visit was done or spoke to me at all. When I paid on my phone I thanked the reception desk and began to walk to the door when the staff began to yell at me to make sure I paid and blocked the door. Only after the front desk worker printed my receipt, (apparently the one I showed them from the transaction on my phone wasn’t good enough,) was I allowed to leave. I would highly recommend NOT entrusting your pets here as the staff seem too preoccupied with their own financial well being than they are for providing genuine care and support to our beloved pets. Completely and utterly disappointed in the lack of professionalism and transparency displayed at VCA Monte Vista and definitely will not be back.

This place is a joke. Gotta jump through hoops to not get overcharged for things you don't want on what should be in and out appointments. 45min past appointment time for a single shot while trying to be forced into unnecessary exams and treatments. All while sitting in a car, having to run the AC so your animal doesn't overheat.

VCA has provided excellent care to my pet. All of the employees are friendly and compassionate towards my pets and they are very transparent with costs. I won't go anywhere else!

3/25/20 @ 3:50 pm had a scheduled appt., for my cat to get a ck up and a shot due. I signed up for well-pet last yr & expires next mo., & not renewing it. We get my cat in carrier drive over there & had to go back to car & sit & wait for call cause of virus . Well they call say she’s not due till next mo. & if I want the ck-up & shot they would have to chrg .,me outta pocket. I personally think it’s dirt what they pulled on me. I’m so done with this vet. But yet they called me yesterday to remind me & I told the gal on phone yes & see them tomorrow .

Recently moved to Concord and since we took our pets to a VCA near our old home we decided to stick with the network. Unfortunately this seems like a very small VCA as there were quite a few medications my dog needed that they didn't keep there. They really wanted us to do everything through their home delivery service which felt more like they just didn't want to deal with me. Some of the desk staff is nice and helpful but others had that same air of not wanting to deal with people. There are only two doctors which means some days there aren't any scheduled to be in the office to actually see patients. Unless you have a pet that doesn't need any more care than an annual checkup, I suggest going elsewhere.

Adopted a dog from ARF. Brought my dog there for her first visit. First impression of the receptionist, she’s snotty and not friendly at all. My visit was with Vet Dr. Dunning. At first she appeared to be very nice, caring and friendly to both me & my dog. She looked my dog over & checked her out, the usual. Than I told her I adopted my dog from ARF and I have this flyer that stated I get a free check up. She asked for the flyer, told me she’ll show it to her receptionist & walked out of the exam room. Than the receptionist appeared in the room, with the bill. The office visit is $80.00. Even I received a free office visit, that is outrageous! I asked her is the vet coming back and she said no. She had moved on to the next patient. Seriously? I had no idea. The vet did not say goodbye, or that our visit is over and not even a thank you for choosing the clinic. The receptionist told me that they are limit to 20 minutes per patient and that the doctor had moved on to her next patient. I was shocked to say the least! I have never heard of such business practices. Is it because I was refer from ARF? Is it because the office has to write off the outrageous charge of $80.00?! I told the receptionist I would never return to Monte Vista. My own vet would never treat me like that. Monte Vista has no compassion and their receptionist crew need some people friendly training. And no, I have no interest in reaching out to your office manager. So don’t even suggest that. Just know that & remember that Monte Vista failed big time with their FIRST IMPRESSION test!!
