I was a first time Madewell shopper for myself while Christmas shopping for others. I bought my first pair of jeans by Madewell and a sweater can't wait to wear for Christmas! Anyways the girls were very helpful an patient, I had my 3week old baby and a 15 month old toddler so they were great! She pointed me in the right decision for my body type... something with a lot of stretch. I can't wait to take advantage of the recycling program to get $20 off my next pair of jeans.

This Madewell location HANDS DOWN has the best customer service! One of their employees by the name of Issi literally spent like 25 minutes helping us sort out an exchange. She called other locations, checked their site, and did everything in her power to make sure that we were able to exchange our item for a different size that they didn’t have in stock. It was very clear that Issi was acting in our best interest and making sure that we were taken care of. It is very obvious that the Madewell employees pride themselves in fantastic customer service. Also my wife absolutely loves their products.

I had called to see if an item was in stock and was asked to be placed on hold, of course i said yes, waited patiently on the phone and was curious to see how much time would elapse. I myself, having worked in retail, understood that it can be busy/difficult with rushes and what not. As i said, curious to see how much time would go by, saw i had been on hold for 1 hour and 13 minutes. I called back and asked if everything was ok because of how much time i had been placed on hold for. Not sure if it was the same person who had answered the phone before, but the woman who responded this time said, “We did have a rush about a half an hour ago and I’m not sure who helped you, but if you’ve been on the phone for longer than 10 minutes than hang up and call us back.” Could i have done that? Sure, of course, but like i said i had some curiosities and was not blaming anyone on that factor. This issue was there wasn’t a formal apology on behalf of the store or whomever did answer the phone prior. If you’ve worked retail before you should know that customer service is a priority and you represent your company. Anyways, showing a little professionalism would have been nice. Not upset, just speaking from a retail point of view.

I guess I'm too short to close the fitting room curtains by myself, so it was kind of awkward struggling to close it, but then an employee came and closed it all the way for me. They have cute clothes.

The staff at this store are always super super sweet although I rarely see the same folks twice. I went in today to pick up a pair of shoes I’ve had my eye on and the cashier complimented my jacket (a leather one I’d bought from that store about 4 months ago). I expressed that although I loved the look and feel of the jacket, I was disappointed in the quality, as the lining had ripped badly after only a month of use. She immediately called her manager over and they replaced the jacket, even though it was well past its return date! So nice to see a company and workers care about and stand by the quality of its products. Thank you Madewell!

They truly care about their work and it shows in their service.
