I drive a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD with a 6.6L Duramax V8 turbo diesel built in Flint, Michigan with a replaced fuel lift pump at 142k miles. When I roll up in my smoke show, it's gametime. To balance out my egregious carbon emissions, I shop at my local Trader Joes. Usually everything is up to par as I wheel my squeaky cart through the open isles. Unfortunately, this time was different. I load my cart with items for the week, only missing beef birria, and shuffle to the checkout. This is when Bobby enters my life. A dead cold stare greets me at the end of the conveyor belt. Not a word spoken. I use my own bags to further save the plant, unlike my truck. He made a promise I believe he would keep, “I will fill the bags ”. As items are scanned, I begin to see a pile grow on the counter. I think to myself, shall I step in and bag, or allow him the opportunity to fulfill his breaking promise? I digress. Moments later he hands me the very same bags I proposed as if nothing in the last 5 minutes penetrated his unfortunate brain. This is when things took an odd turn. His eyes are fixed on me and my wife as she now scrambles to fill the empty bags. His gaze burns a painful hole through my heart, the same look my dog gave me as I put him down for a failed testicular surgery. Not a word comes from his dry, thin lips, as he stands there unannounced. No total price, no thank you for shopping, not even a goodnight. I expect Bobby to experience a complete 180° pivot by my next encounter as his current performance is subpar and unexceptional. There’s a few things a mother should teach their child about this world before they leave the nest. One, don’t talk to strangers. Two, respect your elders, and three, provide outstanding service when a Level 7 (soon to be Level 8 Google Reviewer) is in your midst.

Trader Joe’s is a good location for organic or natural groceries. It is priced more reasonable compared to Sprouts or other grocery stores I have seen in the area. California prices are definitely higher than Texas prices. But if you want organic natural foods, I would recommend Trader Joe’s over the others. They have a good selection of flowers when you first walk in. Decent wine selection can also be found. They have a lot of their own brand food and all that I have tried has been very good.

I'll note that they have exceptional frozen foods and I've heard this from other people over the years which further supports my claim. Bottom line, if you've never been to Trader Joe's check em out, they are small and I personally could never use it as a main source for groceries but as I said, they fulfill some niches and they do that very well. Like most locations, it's fairly busy all the time and they are only open till 9pm (this location at least) which is a bit early for my unconventional schedule. The parking lot can get a little hectic so come with some extra patience.

This place was awesome. There are many things here to talk about, and tons of amazing deals. That all said l would like to focus on just one for this review. The wine! More specifically Two Buck Chuck. This was some of the best wine l have tasted. Want me and my wife did was buy a bottle because it does very season to season. Went out in the parking lot or in a glass tried it and was to our liking. So I want to reentering Trader Joe's we proceeded to buy two cases. We would have bought more but we were just passing through and couldn't take so much with or we would have been buying it by the box. The Establishment is highly recommended for all your groceries needs at absolutely an amazing prices. Sounds extremely helpful and friendly and also had a great sense of humor......more to the gentleman we were talking about the wine.

Well above your average grocery store this new and fully stocked TJ's is located in the heart of Pacific Beach, has lots of parking, great staff and is more spacious that usual. It's very useful that they always have knowledgeable people who can give you advise with groceries or even wine. No questions asked if you didn't like something and want to return it either. Along with Costco and Sprouts this is my main shopping stop.
