I really liked their Sun Times Pizza! If you like pineapple and sausage, you must try it!

1st time eating here. Actually it was take out order. Order was ready on time. Ordered Spaghetti n. Meatballs, Garlic rolls and mild chicken wings. Very tasty well cooked n we liked it a lot. The gentleman hosting our order was very nice and polite. We will be going back when we are in the area. I recommend. Thanks

It has the atmosphere of those family owned joints from the 90s. Really great music (sounded like 70/80s, but may be wrong). Can't emphasise enough just how good their tunes were when we went. Stumbled on the place randomly during lunch time so I was surprised at the lack of customers and didn't expect much from the food. We ordered garlic bread with cheese (while hot it tastes like cheesy bread, once cold it tastes more garlicky). The marinara dipping sauce that came with the garlic bread was heated, which was a nice touch. And we ordered The Fridge pizza which was their recommended combination pizza. Their small size is more than enough for two people. Also, the number of slices per pizza size makes sense and is consistent. You know how some places will give you a pizza that randomly has like a gazillion slices that are embarrassingly narrow so that the next size up has supposedly more slices? This doesn't happen here. Good and accurate pizza sizes and number of slices. Toppings were generous and fresh, but this pan pizza was less oily than I'm used to, like the bottom was white... But it tasted pretty decent so we were surprised! I could barely finish one slice let alone two which is a first. So we packed up the rest and had it later as a midnight snack. The restaurant is not the cleanest so I took a star off for that. I don't expect spotless floors at lunchtime, but the table wasn't cleaned properly and had food stuck to it. The restroom was meh. Despite that, it has a cosy atmosphere overall. The Chicago theme and sports related pieces on the wall of the restaurant adds to the quaintness. The jars for the drinks is a cute touch. Prices didn't seem like the cheapest for pizza personally (paid well over 50 for our meal), but for decent pizza it'd be a nice place to go with friends or family on the weekend as a treat. Was a surprise find, but a good one.

I first ate here in 2005 and it immediately became my regular pizza joint for a relaxed evening with friends and colleagues. I ate here as long as I lived in the bay area. I haven't lived in California for 13 years now, but everytime I visit (once every two years or so), pizza Chicago is my must visit place. In my recent visit I was able to dine there with all my old friends together and the pizza and appetizers were exactly the way I remembered them. They say never meet your heroes... I say.. do it if it's as good as John Dillinger. This place and the taste has not changed in years. Still value priced despite recent inflation. I will continue missing you and keep coming back for more. Vegetarian options: John Dillinger is the best vegetarian (lacto) pizza you can eat anywhere in the 50 states. Kid-friendliness: Excellent garlic bread, pesto sauce on dusty baker, pasta options Parking: Plenty of parking because of the bank that closes early

Pizza Chicago is near and dear to my heart. I've been eating here for years and since moving away, nowhere else has lived up to it. It seems pricey, but the price reflects the food quality. It truly is a family owned pizza place and they're happy to accommodate special requests. They seem to genuinely want to please customers and the service speaks to that. The food is undeniably delicious. Who would guess that the best Chicago-style pizza can be found in SJ!

This was the first visit there for my girlfriend and I. Eric was our server and he was great. We didn't know what to order so he suggested we get half and half medium size pizza. He also asked us if we wanted some appetizers but we didn't know what to get so we got a sampler platter that was the bomb. Everything was superb. Definitely go back there again.

Seriously? This is the largest pizza they have, worth $37 and it doesn't even feed me?? I have no way of knowing if they made a mistake or if this is the real pizza size, but from Small/Medium/Large, I picked Large and paid $37... and ate it in one meal, instead of 2 as I was hoping for... Definitely will not order there again at this price point!

Come here for some delicious deep dish that will remind you of Chicago! Granted it's not Giordano's but it's delectable in its own right. We came here on a Friday night, and surprisingly wasn't too crowded. Got a garlic bread with marinara to share (8 pieces) which was fresh and well made. The pizzas were high quality and terrific in their size, sauce, cheese, toppings, and even the crust. We got a medium cubby bear pizza (vegan) to share, while my friends got a small Wrigley field and untouchables and enjoyed theirs. A small is definitely enough for one person while a medium can serve two. The whole place is themed to make you feel like you're in Chicago with pictures of Jordan and the Bulls and other memorabilia. There's a fair amount of seating both inside and outdoors. For the price I'd say you get your money's worth. Must try if you're looking for some delish deep dish!

This isn't a true Chicago deep dish, but honestly this place is better than 95% of the pizza in Chicago! It's a good mix between pan and deep dish! I highly recommend! It's one of my new favorites!

I went here with a coworker. Overall it's a "ok" restaurant but we both agreed that we will not return anytime soon. I liked that there was a nice selection of salads. The interior has a medium budget flair whereas the prices are medium to high budget. Especially the pizzas are too expensive. I wouldn't go there on a first date or a business lunch/dinner. During our visit, there was no background music playing. I would have preferred background music: At one of other tables a kid was watching cartoons on a smartphone with loudspeakers which was really annoying. A bit of background music could have masked this. Maybe this is a normal thing in California, but security-wise, I do not like when I have to handover my credit card in order to pay the bill. I prefer to use a portable credit card machine at the table.
