This practice is clean, well-organized, understanding, and most importantly caring. They care for your pet as if it was their pet, as if they’re family, because they are

This practice is clean, well-organized, understanding, and most importantly caring. They care for your pet as if it was their pet, as if they’re family, because they are. If I had to leave this review as one sentence, I’d say that this veterinary office surpasses expectations consistently and if they cared for humans, I’d be their first patient.

Constantly disappointed with this place. I brought my puppy here for neutering and it seemingly went well at first THEN my dog started peeing everywhere constantly like he was never potty trained. Peeing constantly and unlike himself. I called because I literally can't keep my dog clean because it's constant. The soonest appointment I was told was 6 DAYS away. 6 days!!!! I pay for a wellness membership that they are very promptly taking from me YET I am unable to get my pet in when something is wrong. Just heartbreaking and I don't want to go to another vet and start over from scratch.

We brought my son’s very ill 8-year old bearded dragon in. He was very close to dying. The exotic animal vet was not available but Jim, the technician supervisor provided us immediate support. He was incredibly compassionate with my son and spent a lot of time talking through the options. He even welled up himself when we decided it was most humane to let our dragon pass away. I myself am a physician - a cancer doctor- and felt the care Jim provided us was simply stellar.

They are simply the best! I have taken my cat here for the past 5 years and each doctor has handled my cat with the outmost care and patience! I highly recommend this vet clinic, they are the best! You will not be disappointed with their services. They are so nice!

We have been going to this vet for a couple years since our old one closed. They are compassionate and still matter of fact about treatment options and costs. We also really appreciate the great communication. Our dog has had several tumors, one of which turned out to be malignant and needed surgery. VCA Wilshire vets were great throughout the whole process and took great care of our pet. ♥️

You know a vet is great when your dog loves them. They consistently go above and beyond for my dog, follow up to make sure he is doing well, and treat him like a king. Even after neutering, he looks forward to going back and seeing his favorite vet tech Lulu and Dr Castro. I couldn't be happier for them to be our vet.

My beloved pigeon, Clover, died on Thanksgiving Day, 2017. I hoped a full lifespan of at least 20+ years, but I am thankful for the two, amazing, but short years that she shared with me. I loved that pigeon in the same way that Nikola Tesla described his love for his pigeon. I was speaking to my relief officer about Clover when my wife called me at 6:31 AM. "Clover died!" She wailed... I think the blood must have drained from my face because my coworker gave me an odd look. Death is always terrible for the living, but life goes on and we have to take care of business. I wanted to get a necropsy (an animal autopsy) for Clovey because there didn't seem to be any reason for her to die. I placed her body into a box in the fridge, and I began calling veterinary clinics and hospitals. It wasn't easy to find an aviary specialist on Thanksgiving Day, so I left messages everywhere. The first to return my call was VCA Wilshire Animal Hospital. They scheduled a necropsy with me on that day. I delivered Clovey's body right away. I received a call from the director, Frank Lavac, DVM - who is also an aviary specialist - to talk to me about the procedure, and to discuss the follow-up. . The doctor mentioned that the initial findings showed that she was very healthy and showed indication of trauma, and that from all initial findings there was no reason that she should have died. Too much to go into, but pet guardians often feel like no one takes them seriously when it comes to grieving. The doctor seemed very empathetic and concerned for my well being. The staff also seemed kind and understanding when I came to pick up her remains. Pax tibi, pulcher columbae...

I love VCA Wilshire, I've been going here for a very long time. They took a picture of my cat and text it to me, which I thought was cool. The vets here are very professional, and they don't try and sell you too many things, although the stuff they do sell you is always very useful, at least to me. We all have our own experiences.
