Giving this location 5 stars because of Donovan and how much he helped me yesterday. I booked a trailer for a few days out and stopped in to make sure my hitch was good to go. There was an electrical/wiring issue and instead of having to panic and go elsewhere to figure it out asap, Donovan took the time to diagnose the issue and fixed it on the spot. He made what is already a stressful time a little less stressful for me so I'm really grateful I went to this location.

Deserves "0" Stars! Beware of having a hitch installed here. This was easily the WORST experience in customer service and professionalism ever! I am a handy person, but I didn't want to install a hitch on my car because I assumed that taking it to the U-Haul dealer it would be installed by someone with experience and professionalism. The U-Haul website has 5,000+ reviews with this place being a 4.5 star experience, compared to a 2 star google review. There is definitely something going on here. The U-Haul website won't allow me to post a review. The website clearly states that the install will be completed before closing for the day despite your appointment time and given the workforce shortages I understand. When dropping off the person at the counter reiterated that point and I patiently waited at home for a phone call. When it was complete at 3:30 I went to pick up my vehicle. My vehicle has a cover to hide the hitch and upon arrival you could tell that the cover was not installed correctly. As I removed the cover, the bumper sprung back and it was immediately clear that two screws were not reinstalled. Had they been installed, the cover would never had fit back on as the bracket was installed backwards sticking out at least an inch too far and the bumper was VERY scratched from being pushed around on the garage floor. I calmly went inside to get my keys and asked for the screws. The person at the counter got the installer who met me outside and explained that there were never any screws in the holes. The installer clearly knew that the hitch did not fit and did not understand that the bracket was backwards but insisted that the screw holes came empty from the factory. You could see that the holes were dirty and clean from where the screw heads had been, and the bumper bounced and rattled loosely on the components underneath. The installer claimed no responsibility for the scratches and insisted that there were no extra parts. I was left with two zip ties to pass through the miss-aligned holes and keep the bumper from rattling. Also, the wiring harness plug holes do not align and it was zip tied to the bracket on only one side. I went inside and asked for a manager. He reviewed it with me and offered me the U-Haul insurance to file a claim but never recognized that the install was done incorrectly. I WAS TOLD TO FILE A CLAIM TO HAVE THE HITCH INSTALLED CORRECTLY AND HAVE THE DAMAGE REPAIRED! To add irony, because I paid for installation I also received a certificate for a lifetime warranty including install labor with no questions asked. I drove to another U-Haul hitch installer the next day to confirm that it was installed incorrectly. Then I returned home to fix the work myself we will see if they ever pay to have the scratches repaired.

Made the earliest appointment of the day to get a hitch because I needed to use the rest of the day to pack my stuff up and get ready to move. I asked how long it would take and was told it would be 1.5 hours so I walked to a nearby coffee shop to get some work done. Had no call from them almost two hours later so I walked back to check on the progress and they hadn’t even started putting the hitch on. I had to wait another 2.5 hours in the uhaul store in a very uncomfortable seat after just having been told “we haven’t started with your car yet but putting a hitch on is pretty simple and it shouldn’t take too long.”

Rented and picked up a trailer on a Saturday morning and was out of there within 20 minutes. Had the entire day to use it and no problems turning it back in. Had a flawless experience!

Set up an online appointment 2 weeks in advance for a trailer hitch install in the morning. Arrived on time, but had to wait 25 minutes in line to check in. Understand they are short staffed no big deal. Asked how long the install would take and they said about 2 hours. So I walked up the street to get coffee and hang. Called after two hours to check on my vehicle to find out they hadn't even started yet! So now it's going to be at least another couple hours, would have been nice to at least have a call. Why even have a morning appointment? There couldn't have been a huge workload ahead of me. Seems the place is run by teenage pot heads to be frank. Ended up taking an uber home (yippee spent another 40 bucks). Waited all day. No call. Called them to be transferred to their local office, couldn't even get through to find out what the world was taking so long. Finally got my car back around closing time and lots of wasted time. If I had known I would be without a vehicle the entire day I would have definitely gone to a more reliable location. Not coming back

I had a hitch installed. The general manager states it is the correct hitch. It was not!! The hitch was mounted pressing next to the muffler causing a bass bellowing sound when driving my Lexus SUV. Not knowing that I took the vehicle to Lexus where after 3 days they were able to figure out it wasn’t the vehicle but the hitch. I called to request the hitch he removed and be given a refund. The man on the phone said he would have to confirm that with his GM. The man calls back to say that would be approved and sets the appt for July 2. This call was 6-22. He says that’s the first opportunity. After speaking with the general manager on 7-2, he begins by presenting me a bill for $86.00 to remove the hitch. And states that this was the correct hitch for the vehicle. And then refuses to refund the money for the initial hitch. Finally, he refunds $185 to me. But, will not refund the additional $100 for the install. I explain to him that the hitch was not the correct hitch for the vehicle. I am now going thru my credit card company and have contacted my attorney. MY RECOMMENDATION- DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE. The GM Donovan Kelley and/or his employees are not telling the truth. This was a “NO STAR” encounter with a business that does not consider customer service.

Scheduled a truck two weeks in advance, came to store and was told sorry we don’t have one! Hired moving help and took day off , do not use uhaul , the manager and employees here are useless and have no respect. No clue on how to run a business. Uhaul is unreliable , look to other companies before wasting your time.

gave away a dirty truck with a broken battery, waited 5 hours for roadside assistance, removed a parking ticket for my car due to late payment (cash only), billed for 2 days, 2 insurance and cleaning up a dirty truck that was dirty when picking up!! ! a day of rent cost me $ 325 and 5 hours waiting for repairs, 7 hours of communication with the support service on the phone! when I handed over the truck broke down again and would not start again. just disgusting

Unethical business practices. Will NEVER work with Uhaul again. Ever. Even though I had a reservation weeks in advance, they didn't have the truck. The "supervisor" called the night before to tell me I could use a truck half the size for the same price, or pay double to get the reserved truck from a further location (80 miles away). Then also told me that I needed to drive to AND from, pay per mile for their mistake, in order to pick up and drop off at a different location. so I had to pay more for a different rental (roundtrip vs one way), had to pay for the extra mileage that was out of my way, extra time, and all the gas too and from. No empathy, no discount. Otherwise their 'manager' told me I could just go with a different company, with less than 12 hours notice to find a new truck rental, even though I had made my reservation 2 weeks in advance. I just rented from Penske. They were amazing. Uhaul really showed their true colors and I will never work with this company again.
