Staff are helpful, locker room and equipment areas are clean. Comfortable place to get a workout in.

Friendly staff. The yoga class on Tuesday night is a blast. Good mixture of stretching, core exercises, and balancing. The gym has a lot of treadmills, bikes, etc. The issues with this place is they don't have AC. It's been broken for two years and they refuse to fix it. That's fine in the winter, but it's sweltering in the summer. On the women's only part of the gym the equipment is pretty old. Certain machines over there have been broken for months and they have never been looked at. The gym has a good atmosphere, good classes (when they aren't being canceled), but they need to start maintaining, fixing, and updating their equipment.

3 months in and i am very happy here. Nice people, good facilities, decent price. Classes are a nice bonus. :)

After having such an amazing experience at 3 of the Renegade location's had to stop by the Renegade Groton CT location. When I scanned in Damian, the District Manager of Renegade ask me what was I training today? He said he had someone canceled a PT session and he had time to take me through a unleashed personal training session on the house. I said sure. Another amazing workout. His functional training workout was a challenge to say the least. When in the area again working out with him for sure. After the workout had to take a quick shower and go back to the office. The bathroom and showers was very clean. Leaving the location I ask who was the manager of the location and the front desk said Troy Peters was the manger. I said make sure to tell him that the location is amazing. Check this place out!!!

Do yourself a favor....don't sign up here. You'll regret it every day. I should've never left Planet Fitness. They lock you in a contract that is IMPOSSIBLE to get out of. Even after the contract has ended, you have to pay to have a letter certified and mailed to them explaining you want to terminate your contract. You need to give 30 days notice... So they still bill you. Plus the certified mail takes a week to process (even though it was delivered sooner) so you pay two months. Oh, and if your annual maintenance fee happens to fall during that 30 days, guess what? You're paying for it! I'm appalled by this company's lack of customer service. I've never dealt with such awful service, ever. I moved OUT OF STATE and they still charged me $65 for the maintenance fee plus the month's membership. I get there's contracts and rules...but what about being a decent human being and understanding where your customer is coming from??? Even planet fitness waived a cancellation fee for me in the past. These people really only want your money. They could care less about their customers and I cannot say enough about how horrible they treat you.

Damien the District Manager took the time to show me how to use the Trx. He was so polite and helpful. He told me what I needed to work on. I’m going to sign up to train 2 days a week with Jen a new trainer there. She is truly amazing! They have new trainers there that are second to none! They fill up fast so sign up Asap! 👍

I met Damian the District Manager at the mall last week , he told me to come down and he would make sure Renegade took care of me . He treated me exceptionally well. I went there with my girlfriend years back as a guest and didn’t like it , now it is a totally different experience. I’ve tried the classes and fell in love with them as well. I really want to thank Renegade for bringing something like this to our area I’ve been in the area for 30 years and I’ve never seen this level of service and skilled professionals in any gym or studio around!

It's still pretty bad. I joined for the classes. A friend said they were great. I didn't get the excited reaction I'd hoped for when I told her I had joined her gym. She may have figured out how bad it was herself, and joined Planet Fitness instead. I did, 3 days ago. A good staff could have made a difference, but an indifferent, self-absorbed staff?? Nope. The gym was dirty & cramped, so getting to the handicapped bathroom, which was the only one available was tough. Every single stall in the women's room -- on the other side of the gym-- was out of order. Tanning bed literally in a closet style room and it was so old. The Zumba instructor was nice. :) The class itself was okay. The guy that signed me up was nice too. He even asked me if I'd be interested in teaching yoga? I am certified. But after this, he's probably not so much.

Never sign up for this gym ever again and I recommend everyone to stay away from this gym. Worst gym I have ever been to. going there for 3 years, making payments on time even maintenance fees even though most of time they take months to fix something. Now I want to cancel my membership because I moved and we don't have renegade gym here. they are telling me I need to send in sertified letter, what a joke you telling me you can't stop auto payment.
