Made reservation 2 weeks in advance for the truck rental-At first sounded cheap but then came the add ons-$39 a day turned into $234.00 after insurance and mileage! I took it anyway-The day before the move at 2pm they called and stated it was no longer available!Went directly to Penske and they had $109.00 a day but the add ons came to under $200.00.Budget stunk!! How can you do that to someone when you gave 2 weeks notice. Dont go there. When I called customer service 800 number they stated they would escalate the issue and return my call in 48-72 hours! Really!!!!Use Penske-and they have nice trucks

Most unpleasant unprofessional truck rental I have ever used. Truck needed Diesel exhaust fluid, we were send to purchase it, they lied about the number of days we had the truck because the managers daughter was working and did not know how to close out the account and give me a receipt. They also did not give me the credit for the fluid I bought! I have rented hundreds of time with Budget Truck in florida for my business, never have I been treated so badly. If you want insurance on a truck you MUST buy it, I called my agent, it is different then car rentals. Because of the base nearby I think they get "new customers" all the time and therefore don't care about their reputation .

If you’re thinking about trying to save money and renting a moving truck DONT LET THE PRICE FOOL YOU! We are a military family and decided to move ourselves to Georgia. We made a reservation TWO weeks prior when we got there he said that they had been calling us since the day before to let us know they didn’t have the truck. Well they also had the wrong number!! We had all of our stuff packed and we’re supposed to move the next day out of our home! We called customer service spoke to the inventory manger and he pretty much said he couldn’t do anything for us because it was Sunday and all other locations were closed! He said he would have one for us in Mystic (maybe) but he made a reservation for us to go pick one up. The next day we went and still nothing! We had to pay an extra $200 to stay longer in our home because they didn’t have our Truck available!! We called customer service again and asked to speak to someone else that will get us a truck and no they said only the inventory manager was available to us. I didn’t want to speak to him because he ended up saying “well if you read the fine print you’ll see the reservation is not 100% guaranteed. Isn’t there another company you can call or get a moving company somewhere else.” STAY AWAY FROM BUDGET RENTAL IT’S NOT WORTH THE STRESS!! Well called Penske and told them our last minute situation and they weren’t able to match the price exactly but they gave me a brand new truck and I was able to drive over pick it up in 15 minutes and even though it was $200 more it was definitely well worth the extra money instead of wondering if I would be able to move out on time AGAIN and waste more money here and make it to Georgia on time for my husband to report to his next duty station on time!!

The agent and his supervisor at this specific location, upsells hard on the insurance by making it seem "mandatory". Basically in order to walk away with a truck you need to buy insurance. I'm guessing these sales agents make a large commission on this upsell. But lying to the customer is unethical.

Not very friendly service at all. People should not be working in customer service if they cannot properly do their job. Will never rent from this location again.
