My husband bought a pair of shoes from Jos. A. Banks and 4 weeks later, the bottom came unglued and broke loose. So why is this a 5 star review? It’s because of how Jeff took care of it at the West Hartford store. We didn’t have a receipt and didn’t realize we bought the shoes at the Glastonbury location. After discovering that the clerk at Glastonbury never set up a profile, we called the Glastonbury location and put them on speaker. Fortunately, Jeff, at the West Hartford location was able to talk the clerk through locating the sales record by going through the transactions on the date of the sale. The clerk at Glastonbury was ready to just tell us “sorry, can’t help” but Jeff really saved the day. The Glastonbury clerk was actually irritated that it worked out for us and my husband got his shoes replaced. The moral of the story… if you need to shop for men’s clothing, go to Jos. A. Banks in WEST HARTFORD. Avoid the Glastonbury location if service matter to you. :)

The lady who “helped” me was extremely short with me and rude. I made eye contact with her as I walked in and she went to the back. I then stood around waiting for help until finally a person helping another guy asked if I’ve been helped yet. I say no and he gets the lady who then reluctantly takes me on as a customer. I already had the pants in hand that I needed and just needed them to be measured for tailoring…very simple. The entire time she was extremely short with me and even when I asked if I can go get my suit coat from my car to make sure the blacks match she tells me that I can’t take the pants out of the store in a very odd tone (like I don’t already know that) I was going to give the pants to my wife to hold who was standing right beside her but I gave it to her since she was so direct about it. I go make sure the black coat and pants match and proceed to buy the pants that I needed. She then checks us out and doesn’t say anything after I pay and say “Thank you”. Just a very unpleasant experience with a very awkward assistant. I don’t want to assume things but I am a younger black man, so it’s possible that had something to do with it. Whether she has some type of bias or is just extremely awkward, that associate has no business working in customer service and made my experience here very negative. It will be the last time I’d ever step foot in this store if it’s not a pick up order.

You could tell he's one of the more experienced team members there because he was constantly helping customers as well as his co-workers everything I was there. You could tell the man was busy but he always made the time to take care of whatever I needed. Felt like my reservation was his top priority the whole way through. Will be recommending him and this store to friends, thanks for everything.

Half the tuxes came in the wrong size and needed to re-delivered (one came just without pants entirely). The worst part was actually the return - this location opens at 11am on Sunday and there's no drop box for returns so you're wasting most of the next day trying to return the tux which has to be next day. There's another big chain (you know it) that does a much better job that I've used for multiple rentals before - just use them, your wedding party will be much happier.

The manager bent over backwards to accommodate me for my wedding day even though the store was super busy!!! They didn't have my vest in my size and had to guess. When it came in and I tried it on it was too small! I only had 2 more days before my wedding and the manager made it happen! She called around to other locations in the state and found what I needed and got it to me with plenty of time! Thanks again for a great experience and the special attention given to me during a difficult time for me.
