Not a good experience here. They advertised “perrenials 4 or more for $17.89. See the sign below and the rose sign on top. So I went to buy 5. They came back and said the plants were $30 each and the sign was place there by mistake by a worker. ….sorry. Why is that my issue. Typically if there is a sign, you sell as advertised - even if the pricing was their mistake. I wasted 1 hr, there. Anyway…. The world is a different place these days. Good and bad. In the old days, this principal would be honored. But in the days, I can just buy online! 🤗

What’s the point of curbside pickup? They’ll email you that your order is ready. It’s not. They’ll tell you that your order will be out soon. It won’t be. I went to this store and waited 30 minutes after checking in. I called. I went inside. It still wasn’t ready so I cancelled my order and left empty-handed. This isn’t the first time it’s happened. What a frustrating retail experience.

Stay far away. This Home Depot literally made me never shop at any Home Depot stores or online ever again. I placed an order for 40 bags of mulch and 15 bags of top soil. It was due to be delivered on a Tuesday. Around 1pm on that Tuesday, I received 40+ text messages saying my order is ready for pickup. Then I received 3 emails saying my order was delivered, followed by an email saying my order couldn't be delivered. Confused, I called the main customer service line for Home Depot. They called the store and the manager told them everything was fine, there was a glitch in their system. It would still be delivered that day. Well, Wednesday came and no mulch. I called them and they said the delivery company they use never picked them up. The manager took pictures of my order at the back of their store. SEVEN phone calls later which amounted to about 2 HOURS of my time passed. I canceled the order but because the delivery people marked it as delivered when it WASN'T, the manager at the store had to escalate it to some help department. It is now Thursday evening. I called and spoke to a woman at the Home Depot main customer service line. She told me it has been refunded (would have been helpful to know that but no email, call, nothing) for the total for the mulch and soil. She told me that the delivery $79 fee could NOT BE REFUNDED. I asked why, when obviously I never even received my order and this was THEIR FAULT. She responded that's just the way it is and to call the store. Furious, I asked to speak with a manager. After waiting for a manager for 15+ minutes, obviously I hung up. I called the store and spoke with a wonderful manager named Yvette. She is the only kind and compassionate person that has half a clue what is going on that I've spoken to in these 7 calls (did I mention the previous manager at the store actually hung up on me?). She tried to refund me and couldn't. She told me that the main Home Depot customer service needs to refund it, because it's not their fault. I told her they told me to call the store and she was obviously annoyed with that answer. Now she is calling headquarters trying to get my refund. I may get a call back but I'm not expecting it at this point. I'm sure tomorrow will be phone call numbers 8 and 9 and another hour of my time wasted for a $79 delivery fee for an order that NEVER LEFT THE STORE. Seriously, something is majorly wrong with this store. This entire ordeal happened probably because some delivery guy decided it wasn't worth his time and effort to load 40 bags of mulch and 15 bags of soil onto a truck, so he just marked it as delivered. To whoever did that, shame on you.

I was extremely impressed with how helpful and pleasant every employee I interacted with was at this Home Depot. So polite, professional and courteous! Genuinely also. What a great experience; awesome Team at this location!!!

i go here because its all that west hartford has to offer. mixed all around employees can be great or can be worthless, but on average the place is a mess. nothing is stocked even when huge amounts are in over stock. if it is in stock usually wrong place or mixed up, and to be honest inventory is just a mess all around.

Paul, in Gardening was very help in finding a 6 gallon Behrens Metalware pail for me. He found them high above on the top shelf and took the time to get the electric ladder a retrieve one for me. Thank you for the great service Paul!

Since online orders started, there are no carts available. navigation around all the loaded carts is annoying. Plus now all the holiday cardboard displays are in the way. They need to fix this.
