I was inspired to write a review based on all of the negative reviews of this place. I suffer from a chronic illness, so I have to get my blood drawn regularly and I always choose this location. The employees are the best. Always professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 5-10 minutes with an appointment (and usually that wait was because I was early). On multiple occasions I have been to this location and witnessed patients asking the staff to go above and beyond for them while treating staff like garbage. Then they probably get on here and write a negative review because they couldn’t push their weight around. Treat others the way you want to be treated. This location is great and I have recommended it to others who use it as their go-to for lab work. Just leave your attitude in the car.

I have been going to the Quest on S W 18th St in Boca and always have wonderful experiences having my blood drawn. Today Rubbie was the person taking my blood, I didn't even feel the needle :)

The staff here is the rudest. She (not going to mention her name) had the worst attitude and acting like she hated her job. She was very rough and rushing to do my blood work. And now I got a blood clot in my arm and it hurts so bad. She gave me hematoma!¡

This facility is the worse! No face masks available if a patient forgot theirs! How can a health provider not have ANY additional masks for their own employees!!! I had to use a month old mask found in my car to get in. (I know its my fault but at least have some extra ones)

I just encountered one of the most disrespectful people ever at Quest. I asked for a mask and she said she's not taking walk-ins, so right off the bat, she was listening to respond and not to understand. I asked if I could make an appointment and she said no. I told her I was experiencing some trouble making an appointment online and she rolled her eyes and said I had to keep trying. If you choose to work in the health industry, then you have to care. People come here to do testing because more often than not, there is an imbalance in their body. The way she responded literally makes people sick. Rudeness makes people physically sick.

This place is an absolute disgrace. Brought in my 5 day old son for blood work. I called quest to make sure they do blood work for Infants, I was told they have at least 1 trained person there for this. They attempted to draw blood from his hand instead of from his leg. I put the Doctor that ordered the test on the phone, the Doctor advised the rude nurse that she needs to draw blood from the leg and not from the hand. The rude nurse insisted she cannot, and after 20+ attempts and close to 2 hours at the lab they said they can't do it and that we need to come back next week. Absolute disgrace.

Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance, got there on time & there were people over flowing into lobby. I walk in, waiting room full & everyone telling me they had been there for 1.5 hrs. Stayed for a half hr, no one had come out. A gentleman knocked on door to the back, someone inside let him back to use restroom. Before the door could shut, 4 people went into the back asking what was taking so long!!! I walked out & make appointment for the Pompano location. After 2 hrs & 10 mins I got a text saying they were ready for me!?!?! This was 3/23 at 11:30am DO NOT GO HERE!

I’ve gotten blood work done here twice, and I must say the ladies have the best customer service I’ve encountered coming to a quest. Shantrail made my visit comfortable and quick. I will book this quest whenever needed. This location is clean and not overly crowded with guest.

I don't know what is up with quest labs these days, but it's always a hostile exchange. I walked in for an appointment and am immediately yelled at "DO YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT!" Of course, I did. Ok, fair question, but 8:35 is a bit early for that tone. Then she was impatient while I walked to the desk and just kept saying come to the front, c'mon and rushing me. Though she could clearly see that I'm disabled and physically could not walk faster. Then I'm met with "What test are you getting today?" To which I explain that I have a few orders from different physicians. "Well, what doctors, what are they checking?" To which I reply, "Um, not sure as it was sent electronically a few months ago and this was the soonest appointment you had, is it in the system?" This is where I get upset - "Well, you need to pick two tests cause I see four here and we can't be doing all that!" In the nastiest tone of voice I might add. So, then... I'm telling her how can I possibly choose which tests are more important I don't know and why can't you do them all? Just fill up the other tubes cause the needles already going to be in my arm 🤯. Are they kidding? I have a chronic illness and quite honestly they are all important how can I expected to choose!?!? Unbelievable!!! Just fulfill the orders so my Doctors can do their job and ensure that I am ok. So, she literally had me standing there so uncomfortable trying to figure out what's most important for my health because they just "can't be doing all that" I told her I honestly don't know what to do and it's not so easy to come back because you can never get an appointment and they don't take walk-ins anymore. She was yelling at me and making me feel like I was somehow an inconvenience. It seriously felt abusive and demeaning. She was like "pick your doctor's who is going to be?" Kept saying things like you should know what the doctors need insinuating that I was dumb. I don't even remember what I chose because I was under so much pressure. I might have even just told her to pick because I have no idea. Not even sure what they did because I didn't get to review and initial the tubes as I usually do. She also was yelling at other people and arguing with them too, so it wasn't just me. The phlebotomist was wonderful, kind, and patient, but I could tell she was stressed and just uncomfortable. If that lady at the front is her boss, I can see why. The front desk lady is hostile, verbally abusive, and just unnecessarily rude and mean. Why act this way? Obviously patients coming in are not having the best times of thier lives and are likely ill. Have some compassion and empathy, you're in Healthcare for goodness sake! The fact the it wasn't just me she was nasty to made me even more upset because she clearly tests everyone bad. I don't know what happened to her in her life, but she needs to be professional at work and treat patients with kindness. This place is mistreating your parents, grandparents, and probably children. NOBODY DESERVES TO BE TREATED THAT WAY!

They used to order walk ins before 4pm. They don't any more. I resent that too many medical practitioners are making it harder to get things done, like quest. Walk ins are important and helpful to patients and must not be discontinued.
