Absolutely a 0 star if I could. The manager Kirk, came off nice. I picked up my van which was filled with mud, grass and leaves from being "parked in a field" in his own words. Also the tank was filled to 1 knotch above half. He told me before I left that that is where it needed to be filled to and that I didn't have to worry about a thorough clean because it was dirty when I recieved it. Return it a few days later but he was not in the office and I was told to just leave the keys. I get my receipt later that night and was charged $50 for cleaning and $47 for gas. I filled it to the exact mark I got it at right around the corner from the dealer before dropping it off. Called them and they claimed it was at a quarter tank when received. He refused to acknowledge the conversation he and I had about the gas and the cleaning and charged the $97 anyway. On top of all of this, the front tires had no valve stem caps and had to be aired up 8 times round trip and the check engine light came on on my trip home costing me hours of my drive. Absolute crook and customer service wasn't any help either. Rent from enterprise!! Do not, and I can not express this enough, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

Reserved a vehicle 4 weeks in advance. I go up to the location the day before to see if the vehicle can be picked up by the evening instead of in the morning to find out the vehicle I reserved WAS NOT even available. The manager KIETH was very unprofessional and rude to say the least and did not even try to make accommodations. I was told to he will call me back later to let me know what was available. 3 hours go by and I did not receive a phone call yet so I went up there again. To my surprise he gets nasty again and tell me if he didn’t call me back that means I would not have gotten anything. To make matters worst he gave all the cars away and I have no vehicle for rent in the morning. DO NOT I STRESS DO NOT trust or take your business there. He can not handle being in a fast paced job without having an attitude or getting smart with a customer that is only inquiring about a reservation. He thinks it’s ok to explain that he had a busy day and handled other customers as if my reservation deserved no acknowledgement. Please replace him this is the 2 issue within a 4 week period, I had the same service when I rented a month ago and tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, it’s apparently his normal demeanor.

*HINESVILLE GA LOCATION* Had an emergency and needed a rental car same day which I know is crazy so I wasn't expecting to find one but I was pleasantly surprised when Hertz showed that they had a couple available. I made the appropriate arrangements and scheduled to pick the car up later that day. My coworker drove me over and a nice young lady greeted us and I let her know why I was there and she pointed me in the right location so I told my coworker to go ahead and leave. I walked into the Hertz office and barely was able to get the words "I made an online reservation" out of my mouth before the man said "I dont know why they let you do that, we are over booked". I just stood there in disbelief, my ride had already left so I had to go stand outside and wait for someone to come pick me up. It was humiliating as well as highly unprofessional. Highly highly DO NOT RECCOMEND. I'll walk before I ever give this company any more money.

This is beyond the worst car rental company ever. I have made reservations online months prior to be told there's no rentals available and you're be placed on a waiting list. This has happened numerous times. I have called on another occasion to be told I do have rentals available but I'm busy right now so I can't tell you what's available. Let me take you number and call you. Never received a called, went later in the day before closing to be told I don't have any cars available. Only one person is working and it seems as if he can't handle the workload.

If I could give zero stars I would. ONE WORD CROOKS!!!! I had a rental through my insurance company I still had to put a deposit down which I didn't understand. So I asked the manager why was a deposit required? He explained incase you don't return my vehicle.. On another note they end up charging my debit card when the insurance company is the one that's responsible...Never will I rent from these crooks again...I'll just go with enterprise

I called and made a reservation a week before my travel. I called and confirmed the day before my travel. They confirmed my reservation and offered to pick me up. The day of my travel they did not show up. I took a taxi out to the rental place to pick up the vehicle an hour after they promised to pick me up. No one was in the office at 9:30 am. The phone was ringing off the hook. No agent showed up. I do not recommend using this Hertz.

Don't trust them!!! I asked several times if I had unlimited miles and was told I did, just to charged per mile when I turned the car in in Florida as I had a one way trip over 300miles. They work very slow and don't seem to be hesitant to screw military over. Additionally, he did not put down the right starting mileage!!! The lady in Florida at Hertz was nice enough to adjust it. I had to email her customer service, because I did not have enough time left to make phone calls. Never going to rent from them again!! If I could I would give them zero stars.

Unfortunately, I have to write this review regarding this company. The lady that I usually speak with face to face in the office is very kind. I've never had any issues with her or getting my rental. There are times when the wait it longer than expected but they are busy and I'm usually understanding about that. However, I made a phone call today and it was like pulling teeth to get information about the $200 hold on a returned rental that I still haven't received after 3 business day. There policy is to tell you 2-3 business days even though they know it's according to how your bank releases the funds. The General Manager at this location was very stubborn when I mentioned this break in communication and mentioned to her that they should be clear about this with the customers. I wish I would have gotten her name but she very mechanical and rude. Customer Service includes making the process seamless to your customers as well as being understanding of your customers needs. When you tell a customer 2-3 business day to receive their $200 hold, that is the expectation. When it's been 7 business days and I don't see the return in my account that is a problem. I doubt this company needs to hold on to anyone's money, but have an understanding and give the customer accurate information that will be beneficial to them handling their finances and budget. Yes your company releases the funds at midnight. I totally understand you are referring to your company policy but be aware of how the whole process affects the customer. Make it plain that it may be over a week for the customer to access their funds. There is a gap between company policy and customer understanding and I was very offended at how the manager handled this issue on the phone. It's just sad when communication is broken down. Other than that, I've never had an issue with the vehicles or employees.

The online reservation was quite easy and straight forward. When I arrived at the location to pick up the car the branch was a little overwhelmed and this took much longer than expected, almost an hour. The car was fine. Drop off in a different city was very smooth. All in all, I would use Hertz again as their nation wide coverage allows me great flexibility.

An awesome weekend car. Fast and clean. Great to drive in a non smoking car. Hertz has very fast and nice customer service that had free pick up and drop off. And the deposit is a plus to get back. Totally worth it. Enterprise can kiss it!
