I couldn’t say enough about the packing and moving crew from this company! They made my recent big move headache free. Very professional, hard working, and made sure I was satisfied with every aspect of the the move along the whole process! Tracy and his crew were great! Professional and worked fast and took good care of all furniture, including some very heavy pieces. Excellent communication from the office with scheduling. Good people to work with and I will be calling them in the future next time I am moving.

The movers did an ok job. They worked efficiently to move heavy furniture and small boxes to the new location. However, on the day after the move I noticed our 55" TV screen had cracked during the move. I called Around The Town Moving to report this and was referred to the claims department who never resolved the matter. I am very disappointed that there has been no accountability or follow-ups on this. No phone calls, no emails, no updates on this.

Great movers!! We frequently use this great group of guys at Jacqueline Adams Antiques to help us unload and move new shipments and high-end antiques. They are wonderful, punctual, friendly and professional. OG helped move a large enfilade up a flight up stairs. Tracy and Pevy were great at supervising and taking direction of where we wanted the items. Chris, Fiyaz and Robert were also here and were professional and extremely helpful! The group here is quality movers and I plan to use them in my own move. I am delighted to call them again and recommend them to anyone.

Called these guys Saturday morning at 8am to move heavy furniture upstairs and to the family room. Was able to give me a fair price for a smaller job, same day with 3 guys. They had me on the schedule for 12p. I got a call about 30 min later to say they could come at 10am. Tim, Eric and Jalen showed up at about 10:30a. They got done in about 30 min and were looking for more ways to help me. Unfortunately I didn't have anything else I needed assistance with. Speedy, efficient and willing to help. Would definitely call them again. Thank you so much for coming at the last minute when 2 other moving companies canceled on me!

I’m sooooo thankful for around the town movers. they did a GREAT job. They were very fast & WELL organized. The day of my move I had another company that flaked on me & around the town movers came to my rescue. They are now my movers whenever I need movers. I scheduled for two men and they sent 3. They were all respectful and very neat in moving. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if your look GREAT, ORGANIZED, & Super fast movers. THANK YOU AROUND THE TOWN.

Upon my move from Atlanta to Smyrna, I was referred to Around the Town Moving & Storage from my realtor. Unfortunately this turned out to be the worst referral I’ve ever received. Around the Town for starters reported they had truck issues and arrived 4-6 hours late for the initial appointment. The move started decent from there (although 2 men showed up rather than the 3 promised). As it progressed it became pretty clear that this projected 4 hour job was taking much longer than it should. After 3 hours of moving, they had only moved boxes and had yet to get to my furniture. At this point, the two initial movers were overwhelmed, so two additional movers arrived. These new workers were moving quicker but were extremely reckless with my things. Although they advertised the wrapping of customer furniture before I'd hired them, they didn’t wrap any of mine (including 30+ year old items such as my grandmother’s kitchen table set). The movers brought a big box in and literally were throwing my pieces of furniture into it. While in the midst of aggressively smacking my furniture together and almost dropping one of my grandmother’s wood chairs, they even had the nerve to make jokes about the look on my face as one of the chairs almost fell out of the box and broke. Upon arrival at my new apartment in Smyrna, it became clear just how damaged all of my items were in transit. From multiple scratches on my TV stand and bookcases, to punched holes in the back of my leather chair and a gash in the side dresser. Lids had flown off of the boxes in their truck and by the time they arrived at my apartment, suitcases were piled on top of those now lidless boxes. After the projected 4 hour move, was completed in 12 hours, we agreed upon a final contractual total of $1000, which still seemed fairly steep considering the poor attitudes of the movers, numerous damaged personal items and general carelessness. On top of this, the company is now refusing to refund my $100 advanced deposit, so they have charged me a total of $1100 for a job that was contractually agreed upon as being $1000. It's safe to say that Around the Town Moving & Storage is the worst moving company I’ve ever encountered. I will strongly recommend that no one I know ever use them. In the aftermath of following up and trying to resolve more amicably (for 20 days), they have missed promised call back deadlines on multiple occasions and eventually refused to refund the money owed to me. It is clear that they don’t value customer service or stand behind the quality of their work. I’ll of course update this review, in the case their owner/staff has a change of heart and finally makes a more genuine attempt to make this difficult situation closer to right.

I was in the process of moving and really needed a reliable moving company. I am not going to lie, I saw the mixed reviews and was a tad bit skeptical at first. I am glad I went with my gut because these guys did a fantastic job. In regards to everything from; working with me on my moving date to moving my home quickly and efficiently, these guys hit the mark. I was very satisfied with the services that Around the Town Moving provided. The speed that Binky, Chris, Eddie and Iquan provided were spot on! Thank you again.

I hired this company to move me in December. First let me start of by saying they were extremely friendly and professional. My boxes were labeled to inform the movers of what went where. During this move several of my items were damage and broken and unable to be replaced. I informed their claims department of my damages and concerns. The customer service department was very apologetic and resolved any issues I had in a timely manner. I appreciated the professional ethics that this moving company displayed while handling my claim. Because of the ethics and morals I would definitely recommend this company.

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. RATCHET OPERATIONS. MULTIPLE DAMAGES (see pictures). UNRESPONSIVE. This is the worst move I have ever experienced, and although I understand that "things happen ", what I cannot understand is how it has taken me months to get some kind of resolution for items damaged during my move. Their management is either unresponsive or shockingly defensive. MOVING DAY: I paid for 3 movers, but basically only got 2 until they sent a replacement a couple hours later. A couple of the men were quite reckless with my items, hence the multiple damages. At one point, I actually had to ask one of them to leave because he kept smoking, cursing/being aggressive, and sitting around on the phone (see pictures). DAMAGES: These people put a hole in my wall, multiple dents/scratches on my hardwoods, tire tracks in my grass, almost took down a power line, and BROKE MY 75 inch TV (SEE PICTURES). After multiple calls, they finally came and repaired my floor and walls (almost a month later). My TV to this day (Nov 1) still remains broken AND mounted with no indication of what they plan to do about it - I moved August 23 lol . I tried to hold back on blasting this black-owned business online, but the way they seem to take ZERO responsibility for their ratchet operations is mind-boggling. So here I am. I would strongly recommend another company that has more trained movers (their movers seem like they dragged them off the corner and just gave them a tshirt), professional office staff who knows how to speak to customers, and accountable leadership/owners. If you care about your property and want good service - RUN AWAY FAST!
