awesome

I have been using this pharmacy for at least 10 years but as of late I call in my prescription and it is 3 days to fill it. I just called in a prescription and bottle clearly states I have 1 refill left and it doesn’t expire til 2023. They told me they had to call the doctor. The pharmacist said it was for 30 days instead of 90 that is why she didn’t fill it. In the past the label on the bottle would read .33 instead of 1. They were still pleasant and helpful but something has changed. I keep hearing they are backed up. I understand that but I should be a priority somewhere in that back up. I call in on Saturday and I can’t get my refill til Tue. Unacceptable.

I had to reach out to corporate after being denied my prescriptions. Yesterday I went to the pharmacy and Siara, Pamela and the pharmacist were rude. Siara accused me of talking on the phone while my phone was not near my ear and kept rolling her eyes. I couldn’t hear her through the window and I wasn’t feeling well. I went inside and overheard her blatantly talking about me to the pharmacist, Fanta. Other customers were there and one shooked her head in disbelief. Pamela followed up with being condescending based on what her colleague said and refused to service me. She told me to stand to the side and said that I was on the phone when I was clearly not on the phone, as it can be seen on the camera. I had the phone down prior to her walking up to me. As I addressed how rude the tech was to talk about a customer in their face, Siara began to yell across the pharmacy at me in a very aggressive manner. It was so unprofessional. After leaving a review last night, I received a text that my prescriptions won’t be filled until next week. Ironically, while at the pharmacy, I was told that they would be ready this morning. I called last night after receiving the text and spoke with Fanta who stated my prescriptions can’t be filled due to my insurance. However, the prescriptions are less than $15 combined and I was not offered the opportunity to pay, only denied my prescriptions. Furthermore, I called this morning and was denied again. I was told that I would have to contact another pharmacy because I said I was getting my prescriptions transferred although they haven’t been transferred as of yet due to the delay in the other pharmacy. I informed the pharmacist that my prescriptions are still there and the transfer did not take place yet and again asked to get them filled. I was then told that the prescriptions won’t be ready until Saturday. I reminded the pharmacist that I was there last night and was told they would be ready this morning. Then the tech, Laura inquired about it to the pharmacist and then finally relayed to me that they can be ready at 2pm today. I am humiliated on how I was treated. I still plan to transfer pharmacies after picking up my prescriptions today. If I have any other issues, I will have to contact corporate.

Sadly over the past several years this location has gone way down hill in the beginning would have given them 5 stars any day of the week. Looking at others reviews I'm not the only one feeling this way. I no longer feel the small town feel of the employees at least knowing your face.As the old staff left so did the great customer service they were known for. So many times I run in to we have to order your meds in or its going to be 2-6 hours not just 30 min to fill your prescription. I left another big box retailer for Kroger years ago Ill now be on the hunt for somwehere else. Enough is enough.

Incredibly slow and unhelpful. The tech was unable to provide me with a reason why my prescription had not been filled on time and then was unable to provide me with an accurate timeline of when they would be available. I will not use this location again. Edit: a year later and this pharmacy is still a raging dumpster fire. Incompetent staff, inexcusable wait times, and poor communication and customer service.

Wish i could give 0 stars, rude employees that put you on hold for 30 minutes and then dont even bother trying to help when they do get on the phone. Everytime I have a prescription it’s conveniently not in their system or it takes ALL day for them to fill. One time, I waited til the next day to pick up my prescription and it still wasnt filled. I actually just got hung up on by an employee. They are very rude and unprofessional!

Pharmacy has gone down hill. They must be constantly understaffed because the lines are always long long long. Half the time the outside walk-up window is closed. I understand that you are doing covid vaccinations, but if I just had an outpatient surgery I shouldn't have to wait 4+ hours for pain meds to be filled. I feel like a few more people added to the staff would probably help. I use to love this pharmacy

Pharmacist Ryan, at the Kroger Pharmacy on 301 Jonesboro Rd in McDonough, Ga, was especially rude to my mother (whom is 76 years old) when she called with a question about her prescription. He seemed to be MORE concerned about getting out the store (as the pharmacy had closed), and made it his business to stress this matter, than he was in helping my mother in a nice and well manner. I overheard this engagement and as I was about to get the phone from her to talk to him, he hung up. I find this very rude and upsetting especially coming from the pharmacist, himself. As in, how many OTHER people has he or some of the (younger) members of the pharmacy staff have treated other customers like this.....when all that they are doing to is trying to get an understanding on their medications? Something should be done about this.

I will never again fill my prescription at Kroger. It's unfortunate that I had to deal with this particular pharmacy on Jonesboro road. I had been using the one on East Lake for years without issue but they ran out of stock and transferred the prescription to this pharmacy. I spent 3 days trying to pick up the prescription. Each time I go to their pharmacy, they claimed the prescription was not in their system due to a glitch, they'll fix it, and I should check back in an hour. We even waited in the parking lot for an hour and tried back the same day. Again they said it would be ready in an hour. I came back the next day and once again, I was told to check back in an hour. This time I asked if she could call East Lake pharmacy before I left the counter so that I can have some assurance that the issue that was preventing them from filling my prescription gets resolved. She declined and told me she will check in an hour or I could call them myself. I opted to call East Lake myself and got an immediate response that all this pharmacy had to do was re-download my profile. The young lady from the East Lake pharmacy offered to stay on the phone with me or gave me the option to have the pharmacist call her while so she can help resolve the issue. I explained this to the pharmacist, who, though somewhat polite, refused to talk to the pharmacist at East Lake without any real explanation as to why not. Again, she blew me off saying she will get to it in an hour. I couldn't understand why she wouldn't take just a few minutes to speak to East Lake in order to figure out what the issue could be, considering that she was aware that I had made multiple trips to this pharmacy for 3 days for a single prescription. All of a sudden, another pharmacist came out of nowhere and started YELLING at me at the top of her voice. I was blown away and completely caught off guard from their lack of empathy and lack of customer service. I decided to end my relationship with Kroger because no customer would ever be treated like that by its employees if Kroger had customer service as a core value.

Several times now I've come in to pick up my prescription hours after I was told it would be ready , when I arrive they tell me they had to order it. It is about a 30 minute drive for me. I don't understand why I wouldn't get notified. I'm done with this place.
