What is the difference between a Pillar member and a regular member? Did you know the bank across the street offers .06% on a money market fund and you offer .01% to a pillar member. What do you offer Pillar members that is different than any other account?

I didn't realize "let me connect you to a banker" meant "put you on hold then end the call", that must be my bad 😐 *edit: no way coach, and get a better franchise the mobile experience is gonna be a deal breaker soon.

ATMs never work here so good luck with getting or depositing cash(can't do that at these machines anyway) after hours. Unlike other banks had lobby closed until recently. Not the bank you want to deal with in a pandemic. There is a ATM on corner of Bradley and Prospect that's not as dated as the ones at this location. I can't count on both hands how many times in the last three months I've shown up to this location and was not able to do what I needed to be done either due to their equipment failure or the fact I didn't have the 45 mins to sit in their drive-thru. If you don't mind paying the $3-5 service fees to use others ATMs go for it. Not worth the headache for me. I dragged my feet too long switching to another bank because of all the autopayments, subscriptions and direct deposits but they have forced my hand. You can only give them the benefit of the doubt for so long

I have banked with Busey since 2004 and recently stopped in and wanted some information about an auto loan. I have to give a major shout out to Anish who was very informative and honest. There was no pressure and I appreciated his guidance and honest advice.

As a lifelong customer of The Bank of Edwardsville, I was disappointed to hear that the hometown bank would be no more. While I was willing to give Busey a chance, my experience has been far from stellar since the take over. Hold times to speak with a customer service rep, from either their main support line or online chat, has been well over 30 minutes. Because there isn’t a sense of loyalty, I have been trying to figure out why should I remain with Busey when there are so many better options with higher deposit rates (3%-4% rates on a checking accounts at a local hometown credit unions). With the issues I’ve experienced, and the fact Busey is not, nor will it EVER be, The Bank Of Edwardsville, it doesn’t make sense to stick around as loyalty in the banking world means nothing these days. Once you get comfortable and recognize the people at one branch, a merger comes along and you’ve got start all over. While I applaud Busey executives for trying to portray the conversion as a good thing for the community, and force their employees to tell us that Busey will continue to adopt the same values and experience as the Bank of Edwardsville - we all know that isn’t the case. I will be moving my personal and business accounts to another institution and have convinced several others to do the same - an institution that has more of a hometown presence than Busey and offers more perks and better rates.

Went to the Busey Branch on Springfield initially was greeted in a professional manner by a lady who had been working the window to do a routine cashiers check with cash and needed to withdraw from checking account. The lady working from the window area said the next available front desk teller would be able to help you much easier, less hassle. Mackenzie, continued to ignore us as we were instructed to wait near the desk by the window and help other people. She made things difficult from the very beginning of the interaction, with a bad attitude. As if she had been inconvienced. She instructed there is a five dollar fee for a cashiers check which Ive never been informed of by any Busey branch in the area prior and made it seem as if it was another inconvenience to make an exception to waive the fee with no information as to why it hasn’t been enforced before. Terrible experience, I’ll be sure to avoid her service in the future.
