Minus: had our car for three weeks, claiming problems obtaining a part, communication with us unclear, and inconsistent, mostly at our initiative. Plus: new manager, put in place at end of three weeks, got it done pronto at a good price and with a thorough detailing thrown in for goodwill. Time will tell whether the new regime can overcome what appear to be old habits.

I'll echo what was said in a previous review. Oil changes are fine. Anything more complicated, I'd be wary (and this may just a typical experience with any auto mechanic shop you do not have a relationship with). The floating manager that was in the day I went was well spoken but also, purposefully vague when asked about repair questions. The default answer was "it'll do this _____ and make your vehicle run smoother." Full detailed experience below. Upon inspection of brakes, I was quoted 820$. Everything listed in the quote except one repair was maintenance work (e.g. oil change, air filter, total system VPS, brake fluid change, rotor change). Explanations of why each "repair" was listed was kept very vague and the entire list was reviewed very quickly so it was made for you to feel a bit overwhelmed and unsure what to ask. As soon as I eliminated one item from the list (e.g. oil change), the manager immediately and cleverly printed a new invoice that eliminated the oil change. This action happened 2x. This served to add a bit of pressure on you to make it seem like an inconvenience to continue eliminating. This act can be passed off as "good" customer service while potentially implying "hurry up". It was super effective because I ended up only eliminating 2 items after feeling a bit rushed. Furthermore, after reviewing my invoice, things are grouped together to give the appearance that if you want one of those services, you need to pay for all of those services. For example, the brake pads were grouped together with 2 rotor replacements. It is very common for brake pads to be changed out due to wear and tear without the rotor being replaced. They will likely make the argument that it listed out for you despite being grouped together. However, for someone inexperienced with cars, like myself, their invoice/quote can be a bit complex to differentiate what is NEEDED and what is SUGGESTED. In the end, I paid about >$350 in unnecessary maintenance costs due to my inexperience. Hopefully, my recommendation below saves you a little bit. If you end up, using this service for repairs, my recommendation would be (could probably be general advice for any auto mechanic you do not have a relationship with): 1) Have a trusted person, who is knowledgeable, with you physically or on the phone. If you do not have someone, google will work! 2) Upon receiving the quote after the inspection and asking them your questions, ask if you may take the quote for a few minutes to work through what you want and don't want done. If their tone changes from being kind to annoyance, this will probably hint to you their intention. 3) Reach out to your trusted person or start googling away. If they had refused to let you take the invoice, you can just have your trusted person on the line and have them inquire on your behalf. If I had called my trusted person and/or had a few extra minutes to google, I would have saved myself ~60% of the cost I paid. Be your own advocates! Service: Brakes

I’ve been a regular patron of this Midas location for over ten years with six vehicles now. Through the years they have gone through the pains of finding good staff. I trusted, valued and respected one particular manager and one long term mechanic there for years. Recently, they had moved to other career pursuits. I didn’t know for certain if I would come back or be able to trust Midas or bring my vehicles here again when they left. I have been to this location twice since that staffing change. My confidence in current (May 2022) staff increases and Midas has yet to let me down. These guys are great! Thank you Carl, Matt and Midas for continuing to deliver great, quick & reliable customer service and fair prices.

I wanted my vehicle looked over before a long road trip! The guys at Midas were very thorough when looking over my vehicle for me. And found very minor issues that needed addressed at some point.
