Although I've moved 30min away, I still take my dog here because I really like these vets. The place reminds me more of a human hospital, especially in regards to cleanliness, decor, and professionalism. They are open 24 hours for emergencies, and can see my dog the same day if I call about pink-eye or something like that, but my appointments are usually scheduled 2-3 days out. Additionally, while they're not shy about suggesting monthly medicines like lime-disease preventatives, the doctors seem to be careful not to recommend unnecessary treatments and tests that would cost me more.

This might not be where you would generally take your young & healthy dog. But for older ones (my little guy is over 14) it is a Godsend! They have specialists who care & take the time to explain what the tests & xrays mean - and give you copies & explanations! They draw diagrams as they explain so you can follow them better. The staff is thoughtful & nothing seems to ruffle or surprise them. NOT inexpensive by any means, but - in my book at least - soooooo worth it!

Really didn’t like my experience here. Brought my German Shepard in after hours, 6pm. looked like his stitches were infected after being neutered. I was told they were on verge of infection so was given antibiotic and anti inflammatory. Dr was with the dog for 2 minutes bill was $450. This is unethical, ripping people off in a time of need is ridiculous. This would have costed under $100 at any normal vet. Also the dr. Couldn’t handle my dog for the life of her. He started barking when she walked in the exam room, which looked like a prison cell may I add. The vet just stood in the corner looking terrified which spooked the dog even more. I was with a vet for total of 2 minutes and was at the place for nearly 2 hours waiting before and after. I really hope nothing bad happens to my dog after hours again since I would hate to have to go back here.

Though I was recently there for a reason no pet lover would ever wish for, the experience was made as warm & caring as possible by the staff, even at a ridiculously late hour on a weekend . The Staff cares, and you can feel it. The drawback is that their prices are high. But when it comes to our pets, we want & need healing ability when possible & gentle closure when it is not. This staff delivers that.

Not good. They were slow to knowledge me when we arrived. My first impression is that they were very unorganized. Once we got checked in, we waited forever and people who were there before us started complaining. Then people who arrived AFTER us where checked in and admitted to a room b before we were!! That being said, I felt abandoned so we ended up just leaving and went to another local animal hospital only about 1 mile away and had a STELLAR experience there. Ps. I got a call on my cell phone from Arboretum View telling us they were ready to see us when we had ALREADY been to this second place, been evaluated, had a minor procedure procedure done, received medications, and were almost home for the evening... approximately an hour and a half later. I'm never going back to Arboretum View.

First visit with oncologist. Everyone we met was very kind. The tech that did the entrance exam was very well prepared having read the vet records that were forwarded to them before the exam. The oncologist was also well prepared and knowledgeable. The only minus of the whole experience was the time it took to get an appointment. Given the rapid rate of growth of the tumor, a shorter wait may have been critical to starting treatment.

Called concerned about my dog wanting to know benadryl doses for a large dog at 8pm at night. The female who answered the phone wasn't friendly and put me on hold for a ridiculous amount of time on a Tuesday night. Won't be calling or ever taking my pets here after that. Lisle ER was great though.

My little guy was sooo sooo sick that he unfortunately had to be hospitalized. The Dr.s were amazing! They kept me updated throughout the day. I could call and visit whenever I wanted. It was amazing. He is back home and is doing well. Words can not Express the gratitude I feel for this place and how well they card for our newest addition.

My older kitty was choking, I was able to clear her airway and rush her there. The staff took her right away. Explained everything they were going to do and the break down of their pricing. Which I felt was fair due to it being an emergency hospital. They didn't release her until they felt she was safe to come home. I've brought more than a few pets here on emergency and feel that they worked to the best of their ability to help them. Even preforming some kind of miracle, at least that's how it felt then.
