10 Best convenience store in Mesa, Arizona (AZ) 2024

Have been going to this location for many years. It is close to my work and home and frequently does promotions. This past Saturday they were serving up free tacos outside, doing give aways, and playing games with sponsors. Inside they were also promoting a puppy rescue and were doing adoptions on site(Love this!). This location offers everything you could ever need from gas and oil service to full detail car washes and all your snack needs. Upon arriving they made me aware they were busy and offered to give me the same value express service if i didnt have time to wait for full service, which i did. Am subtracting 1 star because there was still hair in my shifting boot and also because they dont offer any way to tip the cleaning staff without cash. Otherwise this is a great all around location and ill be coming back for a long time ~Jacob

The pharmacy on this Wednesday afternoon was extremely busy, as they generally are. However, the staff moved quickly to move the line as it started to grow. I was impressed by Casey, the pharmacist, as he continued to multitask filling orders, answering questions, and any concerns from customers and even finding room for vaccination injections. Casey listens as well as he strives to answer any all concerns you may inquire of him in regards to your prescriptions or insurance processes and procedures. On this particular night my pain management clinic was unable to properly follow through with a pain medication prescription that I would need after a surgical procedure I am scheduled to have on Friday. Casey was able to procure enough pain medication to at least get me by after the surgery until my PCP or surgeon could place a prescription for me. Casey as well as Chenoa, and Lindsey we’re all working diligently and quickly as they typically do to help everyone. They each deserve the great full recognition for their professionalism and kindness that they display each time I retrieve my meds. Thank you CVS for this team of individuals in the pharmacy and for Nancy and her pleasant and outgoing customer service skills up in the front of the store. Thank you CVS for being open 24-7 and for the workers in the pharmacy and minute clinic, and for being there tonight. Thank you for doing your work quickly, and accurately. Dollar general use to have really nice people a few months back. Lately the Ladies that are in there are rude and always seem like there personal life has to be heard. It’s happened a couple when my husband has gone in there and money is thrown at him. And today I was there and the cashier after I spoke English to her and she tell me to wait in Spanish I can’t stand when you just see peoples skin color and do that. It is getting bad in there it was one of my favorite stores. Employees make you not want to come back. I rather go an extra mile to another store. ~Esmeralda

Rude people work here! Went in this morning got some gas and cigarettes and an energy drink. Then asked the lady for change for a 20 she said she didn't have it. I said ok I need to buy a lighter and she then went on to say I couldn't buy one I said can I buy anything? She said no. So I will be taking my money elsewhere. I didn't get her name I wish I did I was just in shock over the complete lack of respect not to mention customer service skills this woman had. Oh and by the way she never asked me for my ID for my cigarettes and I ALWAYS get carded. The guy who checked out in front of me looked straight up like a teenager and she didn't card him either. Company liability if you ask me. She also kept complaining to the other woman who was working how much she hated her job and circle k was screwing her out of a paycheck and how circle k doesn't Know how to treat their employees. Extremely unprofessional. ~Brandy

They do not answer the phone at all have called at least 25 times and it rang until disconnected… I was calling Monday August after 12am.. I’m pretty sure it couldn’t be that busy at that time. Even if there was only one employee I’m sure they could answer. ~drew

I ran in to use the bathroom and to get something to drink. The bathroom necessity was an emergency so I asked where the restroom was. The blonde lady behind the counter said they didn’t have one (um where do you use the bathroom?!) I told her it was an emergency and she rudely told me no again. Luckily there was a Walgreens with the sweetest people down the street. That woman was wretched and I hope the owners see this and know how rude she is. ~Katherine

Place is always trashed, but it’s the one on my way to and from my job. Employees are always on their phones and taking forever. Now I go out of my way to different circle k’s. I was buying tobacco here for quite some time, and now they won’t sell to me. It’s not my age, it’s my out of state ID. High school dropouts behind the counter don’t know how DMV and ID laws are not transferable from state to state. It is not worth my time to argue with somebody who works as a cashier at circle k. Would rather pay more at a gas station where employees do their jobs and aren't complete idiots. ~Wyatt

Decent gas station, little dirty and only one staff member that was had an unfriendly attitude when asking if they sold liquor by explaining they could only sell wine and beer at this location. Not rude, but certainly unwelcome and curt, didn’t answer my question if any other locations nearby do have a liquor license and just pushed for me to buy a wine version of what I asked. Took a few photos for reference and was told in a raised voice to not take any of her while I snapped a few in the opposite direction which felt strange. But good selection of snacks and drinks, better gas prices than most in this area. Still, not a place you want to be around after 10pm with how many people came and went that were pushing shopping carts or asking for cash walking back to my car. I’d probably drive a few extra minutes to another gas station myself unless my car was running on fumes ~Eric

This was closest from hotel in a walking distance. I was greeted when I entered. It was nice and clean and well stocked store. Didn't have the gas station though. The guy with long hair was exceptionally helpful. ~Inam

Appreciate the staff who work at such a high-profile store (hospital & college at same intersection) I used to work at this location a few years back, just moved back into the area. The store has been closed from 1am-2am every night I've visited "due to a computer error," which gets a little annoying. I'm assuming it's either an employee taking a break or they're doing End of Day paperwork. Although, when I was working here, we never closed for that sort of thing. Either way, I'll run it by management next time I see them. ~solesolosoul
