6 Best auto parts store in San Luis Obispo, California (CA) 2024

Nathan always gets me in, and as an English chap, understands when I tell him something’s wonky. Charley did my service today AND figured out my lighter fuse was out (which was why my charger wasn’t working) Brighten can work his magic on a porsche engine blindfolded, but I’m relieved Guy doesn’t allow it. Speaking of Guy, always makes time to chat me up while I’m there and let me know I’m appreciated. Car repairs are stressful, but having a shop that you trust, is fair value, and treats you kindly, makes it a rewarding experience. Because every time I leave their shop and drive off, there’s just no other feeling better than shifting into 3rd on Broad St. and feeling that engine want to take flight. The gents at SGS are pros! I can’t say enough good things about BMW of San Luis Obispo.. I purchased my m3 comp from them and my experience was GREAT!!. Jose Macias and his team are very accommodating with excellent communication skills. There customer service is EXCELLENT!!!! Did not buy a vehicle. my dad and I went in to see the Maybach SUV's they had on the show room floor. I cannot remember the salesman's name (I wish I did), but he knew we were there only to look, no way we could afford those haha. He took his time with us, hung out, told us everything we could think of to ask, and then showed us some of the other "cool" cars they had on the floor, never made us feel rushed or "not worthy" of his time since we were just looking. Never even mentioned if we were interested in buying, just chatted about the cars for about 30-45 min. HIGHLY unusual (in my experience) to get that. If they had a vehicle I was interested in purchasing at later time, I would absolutely go back to them and that salesman in particular. Other dealerships should take notes on this gentlemen on how to create future customers. Not everyone is looking to buy right them, some may just be looking for a good experience to buy later. ~josh

I was disappointed that they didn't do all of the 14 points for the signature oil change service that I had requested. Not replacing the inside cabin filter was not a big deal by itself but when they also didn't wash the outside windows or vacuum the car (the covid excuse is wearing thin) as was part of the 14 points it makes me wonder if they used the best brand of oil? When certain things aren't done it leads you to question whether everything else was done well. I had really appreciated their service but was disappointed in this last service. Had to run down a person to get help yet there was two people at the counter. Maybe I just expect to much by wanting to be addressed when standing there waiting so that I know they've seen me. Thankfully it was picking up an online order. ~Sparky

I bought a battery and mohel I believe was his name did a fantastic job in replacing it. He took the old battery out and cleaned everything up and explained to me in great detail what was wrong. Also he made sure the battery and the alternator were both working. As you can see by the picture 👍👍. ~Ramon
