Great Clips
I have been coming to Great Clips for years usually the one in Cheshire with my kids. I just moved to the area and came into the store without checking in online. The first girl that greeted me was very polite and welcoming then another woman with red hair ended up taking me. The haircut was alright, could’ve been better, but her manner of speaking was a bit condescending and it made me uncomfortable. Although the price is great, I probably will not be coming back here. I recently went into this location to explore falls in deals with a friend of mine. The staff seem to be a bit lackadaisical. I also feel as if they weren’t very knowledgeable on certain things concerning their own products. As well as, the programs that are offered by their employer. I feel if you are going to work in the phone store, and your primary goal is sales. Then I believe it is highly pertinent for you to know the ins and outs of your product, as well as the service. Not to mention, the new programs provided by the government for subsidy on service and Internet. I was not impressed with cricket or their associates. Therefore, I told my friend to move on and explore other options. ~Eugene

This is probably my favorite Marshalls in Connecticut. Like many others- they are not unorganized. They are very neat and the staff is super friendly. I only rate it 4/5 stars because it’s a hit or miss with sizing and availability. ~Taylor
Shell
Tarek, Crystal, and Russell are the greatest, they always keep me coming back to this gas station. They care about their customers and what they want. They're always accommodating and always give service with a smile. This is the only Shell I go to and I plan on keeping it that way as long as my favorites are still here! The boss is always so friendly with his customers when he comes in as well. ~Maddie
Verizon
Well writing a bad review because it's my only option & it's impossible to speak to anybody from this Verizon on the phone. Went in, told them all I cared about were my photos and messages being transferred to the new phone. Thanks to this Verizon I lost a few hundred photos. Not only that they gave me the wrong phone! It shouldn't be up to the customer to be a professional. I came to Verizon thinking they knew what they were doing. I am absolutely heartbroken over the loss of these photos. Even worse Verizon doesn't care or respect the magnitude of this loss. Your employees should care more about your customers experience than how quickly they can get the customer to leave. All I needed or cared about were those photos. Sent me out the door with my new phone still in the box.... and deleted my old phone before without checking to make sure everything was transferred. I will be ending my contract with Verizon after this billing cycle because of this location & this experience. ~D
Hertz Car Rental - Middletown - Newfield HLE (out of European Motor Cars)
Wish I could give a zero. We are Gold Card members, and have been for decades. Had a reservation a month or more in advance at the Middletown location. Called two days before the pickup to confirm the reservation, The morning of the pickup, received a phone call from the location that there was no care available, as apparently some had not yet been returned. Was told that we would get a call when a car was available. NEVER received a call. The 800 number put us in touch with the Newport location. Same story, same promise. NEVER received a call, and when we called at 1pm (for what was originally a 10:30am pickup), there was still no car available. Outrageous!!! We will NEVER rent from Hertz again. ~Janet

I reserved an SUV (Toyota RAV4), but when I got there, all they had was a Toyota Camry. The whole reason we wanted an SUV was because we were going snowboarding 3 hours away in the Poconos and needed the room for all of our bags and gear. Luckily, the Camry is all-wheel drive, had a large trunk, and a back seat that opened to the trunk. The car worked out ok but an SUV would have been better. Everything else worked out great. Their rates are the best around, so it was hard to be too upset about the situation. ~Sarah
