Received produce that expired same day in my online order, unless their policy has changed about not being able to sell produce that has $1 off coupons on it when picking an online order then I suggest you train your employees better, it’s insane to think picking quality products is not as important as your “items not found” numbers for corporate. I also think employees at customer service should be trained better to help resolve an issue not seem uninterested or annoyed. I made sure I was not rude as it clearly wasn’t her fault someone in fulfillment picked poor items and still she just stared with an annoyed look as if I was inconveniencing her. This store has definitely gone down hill. ~Donna

Had to Shout to the back for service. A lady walked out who waited, then two other ladies had to wait. We were told to wait a minute, from a customer service perspective this isn't very professional. Employee also addressed elderly women without any respect. They scoffed at which didn't go over well in the parking lot these ladies had shared their frustrations. It be nice to service without the attitude. ~Isobell

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The staff are amazing! Kyle and Joe always make sure to get me in the best vehicle that meets all my needs. They helped me on more than one occasion when I was stranded without a car due to the ineptness of another location. They are professional, personal, and very customer oriented. Once a down to earth shop, no more... Went to this Valvoline location for years, the crew always down to earth and did their jobs quick, they also went out of their way to point out certain things that are red flags, both services they could fix and ones that dont. (i.e. noticed a bad oil valve leak). But never pushed services unless it was big enough to notice and they would actually show you the issue. Now there is new management and all the old crew are gone. When I visited I was upselled so much for services I did not need at all, when I only needed a oil change. (Fluids and wipers were good) Dekalb shoppers do your research and check if you really need the services on your car regardless of their recommendations. Because this place will try to squeeze every penny out of you. They did their job well, the quality and timing of the oil change was to be expected what you get from Valvoline. Overall the once diamond in the rough lost a little of its sparkle. Service: Oil change ~Luke

Hometown just reintroduced their taco Tuesday and trivia night. I was hesitant to go at first due to the pandemic, but my worries were eased when I saw that the tables were separated (some removed) and not every table was taken. My friends and I sat between the bar and the pinball machines which created a very comfortable distance. The tacos were good, the staff was friendly and responsive, and the drink they recommended was great too! It was just like the good old days, but with more space. ~Brent

I received awesome service from Mavis Tires, as they were able to get my vehicle into the shop same day! They were extremely honest about the potential issues with my repair and kept me well informed about what to expect in the future. An absolutely wonderful place to shop for your tire needs, they were professional, honest and had a very quick turnaround! ~Miscellaneous

I’ve been to this location a couple of times and the lady I ran into most of the time was very friendly. She would help out to her best. Easy to retrieve and drop off packages here. ~Xiaoying

We ordered ahead to save time, even though we were eating here. Needn't have bothered; still waited for the food preparation. Oh well.... Very good food. Haven't dined-in here since pre-pandemic. The 5-cheese lasagna was delicious. Taco salad had lots of olives i.l.o. the spurned jalapeños. It was "fine" according to my dinner companion. She loved the breaded/fried mushrooms appetizer. The cinnamon nuggets were tasty, but needed more cinnamon/sugar. Basically fried bread pieces (but again, tasty). I'll augment the plentiful leftover pieces when we eat them back home. Didn't try the pizza this time. All in all, a pleasant experience with an attentive server and appetizing comestibles. We'll be back when driving by Dekalb again in the future. This is much better than the standard fare at the tollway oasis outside of town. ~Eddis

The counter top service worried me quite a bit when I walked in. They were decently busy in house, but the phone kept ringing (I assume for take out). Their menu above head just listed what they had, but not what was in each roll. So I stood there looking up options on their online menu. I got 2 rolls, Shrimp Tempura and Caterpillar. Both were good. They quoted me a wait at 40 mins. It took 67 mins for the sushi to hit my table. Slight benefit of the doubt being valentines day. Clearly they're a popular option. ~Desiree
