5 Best moving and storage service in Durham, North Carolina (NC) 2024

Our family loves TROSA. They have helped us with several moves, landscaping and catering. Always competent, professional and personable. Today we had them come to take away some very heavy items that we will no longer be using. Items were in a hot attic. Can’t say enough about the two guys they sent - Dave and Kevin. They were the best and a pleasure to work with. . ~Sam

The point of a reservation is to ensure the availability of a truck when it comes time. That's why the online reservation system exists. I reserved their 26' truck almost a week before and it confirmed availability without any issues. The day before I receive no call at 6pm as indicated in the receipt, meant to confirm the pick up time. I find out they changed my pick-up location to different dealer at a much different time. A 5 hour difference. I made plans with others to start at 7am after I picked it up and now I'm forced to wait until 12pm to go pick it up at a location much further. Called them and they made it seem like it's common place to not have your reservation fulfilled. Then what's the point?! Terrible service. ~Mathenge

Excellent storage unit we have used for years during COVID, but the true 5 star experience is with the staff. A staff member, Austin, came out to help us with our U-Haul ramp, and his ingenuity led to us fixing the problem in 2 minutes. Truly fantastic people and service, and that experience alone I would give 10/5 stars if I could. ~Matt

I’d love to give a 5 star review because at first, these guys were wonderful! The group that did the packing (Dominique and crew) were awesome. Very professional and friendly. The movers too were a great bunch of guys that were very efficient and fast. We were excited that they worked us into the schedule to have our items that same day even though we were originally not scheduled to receive them for a couple of days to perhaps a week later. However, they split our items up into 2 trucks. 3/4 of our boxes and furniture did indeed arrive that same day. The rest of our items are still not here and it will be a month next week. We’re beginning to wonder if we will ever get them. It’s difficult to contact someone to help as their voice mail is usually full and when we do hear from them, it’s the same story every time. They’re working on it. I don’t like to do reviews like this because like I said, most of our experience was positive. But perhaps we’ll get a response and action. ~Janet

Bad for business, employees all working together to steal people’s stuff out of storage. General manager Jeremiah Lane tried to put on a facade like he really cared about all of my belongings BEING STOLEN and didn’t do anything. I confirmed that this location hasn’t had an auction since May 2022, so where did all of my items go and why did my unit have a zip tie instead of the lock that I PURCHASED FROM UHAUL? Still waiting on my refund, that Jeremiah promised.. IF YOU KNOW LIKE I KNOW DONT STORE YOUR ITEMS HERE. If you do, buy a ring camera and put it on your unit because JEREMIAH LANE will swear their cameras aren’t angled at your unit even though he admitted one of his employees signed off on the unit without explanation. Entire staff is incompetent and are thieves! Will be contacting corporate over and over until this is resolved and made right since I can’t get any Information from the staff working at this location and moving forward with a suit. People work entirely too hard to their items to be stolen and pay too much for storage for the “cameras not to be working!” ~Jessika
