11 Best bank in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) 2024

Despite having a mortgage, a business and personal accounts at PNC, as well as calling ahead and making an appointment, they would not notarize 5 documents, to close out our PNC mortgage. These documents were not "PNC enough" for them to notarize. So now we are not depositing the proceeds into PNC and are not considering PNC for our next mortgage. What a ridiculous policy. ~Chase

Honestly this place is convenient at times and I’m sure the people inside are nice and sweet but the wait can sometimes be unbearable in the drive thru line. I’m sure it has to do more with the customers and not the staff but it’s still something to consider. The parking lot on the other hand is in extremely bad shape and for a long time, until they recently patched it, there was a massive pothole in the middle of where you would exit the bank. That’s ridiculous for a large bank that has tons of money. ~Abdulsalam

I closed an account over the phone after we moved out of state. The account was closed on 4/26/19. I was told I would receive a check for the balance of the accounts within 10 business days. It is now 5/20/19 and I called to check the status for the second time since closing. I was told I would have to wait 90 days to report the checks lost. I asked to speak to a supervisor and Tanya told me the checks were mailed to the wrong address, but could not confirm it. She is going to call me back tomorrow after researching. We also had a major issue getting FCB to change the acct our car loan was being debited from to the new bank in our current state. I will update this review after resolution has been made, but for a customer who banked at FCB for the past 8 years I wouldn’t recommend them based on my experience over the last couple of months. Update after a couple of weeks. It was verified checks were sent to the wrong place. I have to wait 90 days to “report them lost” so they can place a stop payment on them EVEN THOUGH they made this error. ~T

Out of all the banks to choose from I definitely always come here. Jennifer Cassel is the most outgoing, polite, and outstanding customer service employee I’ve ever had in fact if I happened to come in and she wasn’t there I’d probably go to another bank if it weren’t important lol. Thank you 🙏 so much for your service Jennifer some days I’ve had rough days and not in the best mood but never fails I always leave smiling forgetting about whatever was bothering me that day. I love this Branch and how convenient it is. The staff is wonderful and always willing to assist for anything I need! They have recently changed the staff and they are all so nice and helpful. If I remember their names are Monse , Rhea and the gentleman Marcel! Love PNC! You all rock! ~Mr.

Not one employee in this Bank has an idea of what they're doing. They must have hired all new people from other industries. Besides banking. Horribly rude! This bank used to be awesome. Everybody used to know what they were doing. Now they're a bunch of... If there wasn't other branches of SECU, I would stop using them entirely. ~Jason

Excellent experience - We use this bank for all our commercial needs, including banking, loans, and mortgages. We are treated well and our business needs feel prioritized. Everyone with the bank has been very responsive when we've needed to set up new accounts or order supplies or any other request. Very impressed! ~Crystal

Opening my savings with them was pretty smooth in my opinion. Ask for Ms. Christy she’ll take care of you. Bank Tellers were professional and nice even when it was busy. ~J
