Churchland's Village Flower Shop

They are wonderful! I’ve ordered from them for my Mom. It’s been over 20 years now and they never disappoint. Flowers are always fresh and the arrangements are always full. Call them directly and keep the middle guy out. 6/7/21 This florist is the absolute best in town. They've made floral arrangements for my Mother for decades. They have never disappointed us. Well Mom passed away last February from cancer. I have Mom her flowers while she was living because she loved fresh flowers. Purple, yellow and white babies breath. We finally got Moms installed on her mausoleum wall. And this florist is still doing beautiful arrangements (although silk) for our Mother (Mildred Bazemore)💜🙏🏽 Thank you ~vera

Hughes Florist

They ruined my mood for Valentines day. First of all, parking is inexistant. Now the shop itself is pretty decent but items were a overpriced, maybe for Valentine’s day. I asked if they have military discount, they said NO, they only offer “Police officers discount” NOT Military discount. Never heard that one before but ok, their shop, their rules. Lastly, they did NOT include the card I chose and hand-wrote for my wife. I drove 30 minutes (twice) to buy flowers without a card. I wrote on the card and the lady took it from me and put it in a small envelope but never gave it back to me. I was so in rush I thought the card was in the bouquet. I went home before I noticed the card was missing. Flowers were beautiful, I will be honest but overall not the best experience I’ve had. ~M

Harris Teeter Pharmacy

In response to Lady J. We are in the middle of a pandemic and everyone is short staffed. They are normally extremely nice and helpful. I was just there last week and it was only the pharmacist. I patiently waited cause she was also having to give flu shots and covid vaccine shots. Be a little more kind and understanding of what they are going thru. ~Terry

Truist

This bank since the merger is a disaster. I used to bank with Suntrust for years and had absolutely no problems. Last night I tried to send money with Zelle to my daughter which I have done numerous times, even with Truist. I received a message that sending the money was under "review" and and an email to contact customer service. The email said there would be assistance 24/7. When I tried to call, after pushing one button and another, I finally got a message to "call back during regular business hours." That is hardly 24/7 customer service! I have had so many problems with this bank since the merger and am looking to switch out in the very near future. Read the reviews of Truist on Reddit and you will see it most often referred to as a "dumpster fire." Numerous complaints on Next Door as well about all their errors with accounts. They advertise themselves as a "different kind of bank." That part is certainly true! Take your accounts elsewhere! ~Elizabeth

Olde Towne Arts and Music

My daughter has been a part of the Olde Towne Arts and music Children's Chorus since she was 3 1/2, now she's 7 and has been taking piano lessons for over a year and loving it! We couldn't ask for a more caring and patient music teacher. Mr. Chris is the best! I can't wait until my son is old enough to join join Children's Chorus too. ~Mandi
