I enjoyed my trip to Sears. The store was clean and the employees were very helpful and I was able to purchase what I needed.

I walked into the store and two people were sitting at the desk on the main floor and neither acknowledged me. I wanted to just walk out after that because customer service is big to me. So after I said hello to them one answered while the other continued playing a game. I understand if your business is slow but pay attention when a customer does come inside. Luckily i found a stove but not the one i wanted but the delivery was delayed a week long than expected so not happy about that.

Just love this store, they have want I need here at the Outlet Store and if anything else, I go to the Sears department store. Sears is just the best to do with on home warranties, appliances, tools, auto etc. I get value every time I buy from Sears, love them, thank you

We have bought several major appliances from them over the years and have always been satisfied. We just purchased a new dryer and a dishwasher from them. The installation team was terrific; they changed out an exhaust pipe for the dryer that was no longer up to code and they did a perfect install on the dishwasher. In our experience, you don't get that sort of service from a Delaware store; they dont care about repeat business but a small town family owned business lives on repeat customers. You get a competitive price, a quality product and a store that stands behind their product. Look no further.

We recently purchased a vacation home in the area and have been excited to support local businesses. We love this town and have had wonderful experiences here. The exception is this business. Honestly, I think the only reason they're still in business is that they don't have any competition. Our main interaction has been with, who I'm assuming is, the owners' daughter. (based on the family portrait on the desk) She is extremely rude and unprofessional...being sarcastic or fiddling with her cell phone, or during our most recent visit, walking on the treadmill and barking out obnoxious comments to the salesman who was trying to assist us, but needed her assistance to do so. She never did get off that treadmill while we were there! We ended up leaving and purchasing our mattress online. Sadly, I think that's what we'll be doing with all of our home appliance/mattress purchases. I wish we could support this business, but it doesn't really appear they care to have the business.

Chestertown SEARS Hometown store is definitely the go to place for your needs in our small town. The owners Ed, Nina and Penelope are all very knowledgably & very accommodating! I have shopped this store for my needs since they came to town some twenty- three years ago. I've bought kitchen stoves, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners and a riding lawn mower for my household and my grandmothers' also and been very pleased over the years We still have everything that was purchased from this fine staff, so why go anywhere else I ask. You enter the store and known by name just like family! Nina never hesitates to help if I have a concern just like Penny and Ed will resolve most any issue! Delete Move to Forward Reply ore

Penny, the owner, was very helpful and even called us to be sure everything was working properly. The delivery went seamlessly and delivery personnel were efficient, courteous and told us great information on how to care for our new machine to receive optimum performance over a longer period of time. (I wrote everything down!) The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I like organized paperwork (just a part of my personality and the way I learn things) and instead of getting the information for rebates, warranties etc. in paper format we were mostly told verbally about the perks. However, I can't judge the local store for that, the Sears corporation as a whole needs to step up their game by giving more detailed paperwork to its clientele regarding rebates, warranty plans, etc. This would greatly enhance the buyer's experience and help the owner/staff of the local stores when explaining the information. One good thing is that if I have questions, I can call Penny and she'll do her best to help me figure it out. However, because I'm a visual learner I feel sorry for Penny! Lotsa' phone calls going her way!

This was hands down one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had. First, I was ignored when I first walked into the store. The two persons working were the owners, Ed and Penny Kelly. After looking around for about 10 minutes the owner finally approached to see if he could help me. I told him that I was looking for a new electric dryer and I was leaning toward a whirlpool. He starred at me with a very confused looked for a few seconds then called over for the other person. This person, Penny Kelly, was very short and abrasive. I asked her a few questions and described what I needed; specifically a electric dryer that would either be less than 27inches deep, or able to stack with washer I already have. She said they didn't have anything like that. It was clear I was simply an annoyance to her. She told me that I should go home and measure the washer after I told her the exact make and model. I finally said no, Ill just look it up on my phone. I try to shop local and support local businesses, but this one will never again see my money.
