As Fredericks new premiere rock climbing facility, our success is achieved by means of providing our community with the convenience of diverse health and fitness methods under one roof. Specializing in "bouldering", our 6,000 square foot facility currently has 3,000 square feet of bouldering surface with problem ratings from beginner to advanced which change every five weeks keeping our members satisfied with new problems throughout the year. The main floor also includes free weights, boxing equipment, and hang-boards for other training techniques. The second floor provides a hardwood floor studio for yoga, group fitness, and mma and karate classes with room for twenty plus members and classes for all ages.

Great staff. Great facility. Decent prices, especially if you stay for hours and hours. Best place around here for bouldering. Note: They do not offer rope climbing.

The Boulder Yard was great. I took my six-year-old daughter there, and Joe was great getting set up to climb. We will go back then it's not so busy. This is a place kids can go, and parents need to watch their kids. This is a gym, not a bounce or jump house. Thanks, Boulder Yard.

This is a great place to climb. Very nice climbing walls, a little deceiving from the outside because you can't tell the height of the back walls by looking at the front entrance.I really like this place and plan to return often.The owner is super friendly as well as his staff.This place offers quite a lot for being a little smaller than the other chain gyms. Recommend!!

Freaking love this place. Atmosphere is very laid back. Very challenging routes. Awesome work out. People are very welcoming. No rude people. The only way they can improve this place is by having a bbq pit going. Hahahaha. Will definitely recommend the place to others and we will be coming back for sure, after I work out and get better so I can really enjoy the place to the fullest.

This place is the best! I am relatively new to climbing and started at a later age than most (let's just say 50+). Climbing is a great workout and a lot of fun and I encourage you to try it. The people that climb here, in addition to the owner and staff, are very welcoming and friendly. It is a safe and clean environment where I feel comfortable, even since covid-19 rocked our world. What sets the boulder yard apart from the several other climbing gyms I have visited is the number and variety of routes and the community atmosphere. I highly recommend the boulder yard.

The staff couldn’t be more friendly, Steve and gang are extremely helpful and will even give you tips if they see ways you can improve. It’s a smaller gym, but the sense of community really makes it. There’s a nice, relaxed environment to climb for beginners and vets alike. New problems are created frequently enough to keep it feeling fresh but not too frequently that you can’t come back to conquer one that’s giving you trouble. Anyone interested in climbing really needs to check this place out!
