I was not fond of my experience here. I came to submit my passport application and take my picture. I will admit that I didn't come in 10 minutes early like they tell you online, but that's no reason my experience should have gone the way it did. My representative here was Robin and she was very dry and monotone. There was no personality or any positive customer service about her. The application I filled out online marked the places that were required, but apparently not ALL the required info. Robin made this apparent by telling me the additional information that needed to be filled out. Also why did I bring my original and copy of my birth certificate if they take the original?! That was not made clear on any information on the application or when I handed her my very important document. I had it in a sheet protector (for obvious reasons) and it had to be taken out to be left with them. That makes me very uncomfortable as I have no idea how well they'll handle it. Robin's directions weren't very clear when she was speaking to me. I felt like when I read whatever statement that she then read out loud to me, like I didn't just read it, like I was being read my rights by a police officer. Also very important to not that my picture was terrible quality and very blurry. I don't know if that's just the printing quality they have or if the lense on the physical camera (she held to take my picture) was dirty, but it did not look professional. Why wouldn't they have a high quality stationary camera set up for an important document like a passport?! I would not recommend going here for your passport picture. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars, is because at least they offer this service....

If I could give them 0 stars I would. We scheduled an appt to get finger printing done over a week in advance. When the day of the appt. came they called and said their system was over booking (very doubtful) and they would need to reschedule. We rescheduled for the next day at the same time. When we arrived, the guy told us that the person who does the finger printing had called out 10 minutes before the shift and they had sent messages out, which we never received. The guy essentially was like "oh, sorry what do you want me to do?" Needless to say, I rescheduled for next week. Hopefully people want to do their jobs that day.

Shockingly really good service today! I can say that with a straight face considering the line went from 2 clerks for 4 customers to 2 clerks for 10 customers by the time that I left. Seriously, it helps to come here before 11:30 am.

As most are posting here, I currently have a package just sitting there for over a week. No new update since being scanned into this facility last Monday. I will try to call to get an update, but after reading reviews am not hopeful.....

My package was given to them by UPS a week ago and they have not even acknowledged the package. It has shown no movement for a week even though they are right down the street and trying to get in touch with them does not happen unless you keep putting in inquiries about missing packages and the the manager lady will finally call because she is annoyed that she is getting notifications about it. So annoying and unprofessional.

Worst Post Office in the Country! Management scams there residence for more money! Sends package back if they don't pay. I sent the same package back and it was delivered no problem! Should be investigated!

It's too bad I can't leave a 0 star review because that's what the Temple Hills Post Office deserves. I shipped an expensive antique to a customer in the DC area and unfortunately it ended up at the Temple Hills PO. The tracking indicates that it was last seen there on Sept. 23rd. It is now 2 weeks later and it has disappeared into thin air. I filed a missing item report with the USPS and was contacted by an employee of the Temple Hills PO who tried to tell me that the package was delivered and the carrier just forgot to scan it. The only problem with that line of BS is that I have been in contact with the customer on several occasions and the package was definitely never delivered. Today I received a survey from the USPS asking me to rate my "resolved" case!! The case has never been resolved!!!! Needless to say the survey answers were not pretty. So, all of the above, plus the fact that no one EVER answers the phone at that place have resulted in a very unhappy customer. BTW: I have shipped nearly 500 items all over the world and have NEVER had something get lost!! Thanks so much Temple Hills Post Office for being the WORST post office in the world!!!!

Poor management! Three different mornings to mail something. Arrive when open at 9am and always have only one clerk working while several employees in the back and joking about the past. For such a popular location with many patrons, they should have enough profit to assign another clerk at opening. Please replace the supervisor!

Zero stars if I could. They need more help. They just opened and line was out the door. Only 1 person working. Terrible.... You could hear personal conversations going on between employees and music playing. It sounded like a party in the back. All I need to do was to set up my PO Box. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL USPS YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

If you ever have the unfortunate luck of having a package come through USPS and you live in an apartment you can guarantee an additional 2-3 days because they will not attempt to deliver it to your door, despite claiming that they will. Basically you will have no choice but to show up to the physical location that’s always packed/slow and make arrangements for them to either redeliver or wait for them to find it so you can pick it up. UPDATE: literally every package I’ve ever had come through Temple Hills USPS I have had to go to the office to pick up myself because the carrier does not attempt to deliver it at all. Half of the time they say they leave a note / attempt delivery but they never do. My suggestion is start reporting your carrier because this is unacceptable. You cannot expect people to have to come and pick up every single one of their packages.
