I was shopping for a new modem and I asked three employees for help. One said "I'm not on the clock yet", the other said he was going on break, the other said "I'm with another customer " as he walked up to the entrance kiosk and started chatting with another employee. Best Buy, you lost a customer.

Was here for a Geek Squad appointment twice. Had an appointment but had to wait a bit still the first time as I think they were understaffed but once I was seen they were very friendly and helpful. Got my AirPods fixed and in my pickup appointment they checked over everything pretty fast.

Bought the wrong item on the Best Buy website. It was delivered on time to our house, no hassle. I found the product was not right for our application. I returned it to their store in Novi, Michigan 2 days later; while the store was under FULL reconstruction (adding square footage to the existing store). The staff met me at the door and though the store was closed due to remodeling, the return process was flawless!!! Very impressive - operating on the fly! Nice job Best Buy. Consider Best Buy instead of Amazon

I bought a tv range extender from the Saginaw store and when it wouldn't work, I took it back and exchanged it for another. That one didn't work either so I waited for my son to come and try but he couldn't make it work either. So when I tried to return it, they would only offer me a "store credit" as the fine print said I was 10 days over the limit to return it. I won't be back and they can put their store credit-------

We were needing to replace our dishwasher. I knew which one I wanted. There was a question about installation because of a flooring problem under our dishwasher. So they wanted to look at the situation before sending out the installers. Keep in mind that we live one hour away from the store. Because it costs about $140 to deliver in our area and $40 to haul away the old one, we were convinced that buying the two year warranty was a good option because it includes these charges. So after all of this occurred we returned to the store to order the dishwasher. The one I wanted was no longer available so I chose another. Now for the bad news....The first delivery date is Sept 1. We are sitting in the store on July 8. The salesperson said she would work to move that up. We were later contacted. New date was July 22. We sat here all day. No Geek Squad. So after multiple calls we are back to Sept 1. Oops. Phone call today. Now it's Sept 2. So my warning here is to be very careful about purchasing these warranties. They are making promises they cannot fulfill. There is no timely delivery, certainly not outside of the immediate TC area. In retrospect I would have had them load it in the back of our car and have our handyman install it. Hindsight is 20/20.

Looking for service on a high-end DVD recorder, which of course is hard to find. The Geek Squad 800# said yes, Best Buy services those, $49 inspection fee, bring it in. Skeptical but hopeful I did so. At the store I was promptly told they do not service DVD units, and the "800 number people are in another country so it's understandable they don't know." I said no it's not, they are Best Buy regardless where they are. This led to a discussion with a very defensive manager (Adam) who was shockingly argumentative and also chastised his employee in front of me. I said I was just trying to give him some feedback and added it was obvious to me from his approach why customer service is so poor in this Traverse City MI store. I cannot imagine ever returning and will advise others likewise. Many preferable alternatives for anything sold in that store.

Before I get into the rougher experience I had here, I do have to give credit to the sheer size of the store and therefore also the much larger variety this store can hold. Also, I'd like to mention that the staff is friendly and helpful. Now, I say 'can hold', this store was rather low on stock, which was a little dissaponting. The truly rough thing was that I had bought a keyboard and mouse set by Microsoft that requires a Dongle to tether it to a compter, the set was on their 'Open Box' area and was listed as excellent and not missing anything. I have learned to check these before I leave now as I had bought something from a different BestBuy and that item didn't even have the power adapter with it. The previous incident almost cost me about $150... and this time, at this store, I made the mistake of buying it before I had checked it (and understand that they are suppose to actually check the product before they give it the ok; the customer shouldn't have to worry about this non-sense) and when I checked it, of course it was missing the Dongle. Fine then, I've already bought the product, what am I suppose to do? (Also, I checked the product at the desk to the side BEFORE I left) The employee instead of assisting and fixing the issue, decides to take on more customers, then tells me that they sell Dongles that I could purchase... like the one that SHOULD have come with the ?complete? Set I JUST PURCHASED? Instead, I had to return the product and bought a lower model version that was new and still ended up costing me a few bucks more then the nicer one that was marked as 'Excellent' and 'Complete'. It was a rather obnoxious encounter that really makes me wonder if they even glance at (or care about) the products they sell as 'Open Box'. It can be rather annoying, and it is sad to see it is a repeating occurance. 😐

Generally Best Buy has what I am looking for. That was the pro. Cons: Last two times I have come here the customer service is lacking seriously. Can I get at least one person to at least say hello? The time prior to today, i walked out after 30 min. Couldn't find anyone unless i went to the service desk or the registers. Today was 10 min before an employee asked if I need any help. Told him he was the first one to say anything to me in the last 2 visits. I was there for something specific and it wasnt on the shelves. He did get it for me though. Kudos to him.
