My mom started banking here while it was Perry State Bank in 1997, when it was the only local institution in Pike County MO that would give a single working woman a loan for a car. Then when I left for college 5 years later, she opened an account for me, with a debit card. They alerted her if my account was OD, so she could transfer money from her account to mine over the phone. Even though we lived in Louisiana Mo, and the bank was in Bowling Green, she said it was the best move she ever made.

We have been using HNB for over six years for both commercial and personal accounts. We have never had a bad experience. The staff and personnel have always done their best and are both professional and personable. Their hours are convenient and they offer many services; such as internet banking, notary, wire transfers and multiple accounts to make our accounting work well for us. They were and are a pleasant surprise to us. We have and would recommend them.

My experiences with HNB Wentzville location are usually very pleasant when I go up to the bank and speak with the women in person. Other than that I do not recommend this bank at all. Direct deposit that is supposed to go in first think in the morning does not get deposited until 10am. Everytime I call to ask a question I am told to "wait one moment" and then I am put on hold for quite sometime and then the answer I am given is not assuring it is always "possibly". When trying to not deal with the staff over the phone and being unable to make it there during staffed hours due to working a regular 8-5 job, I turned to their Mobile banking. I have used Mobile banking to deposit a check on Friday at 4pm I called right after to see when it would go through, was put on hold then told it would go in the next day they are opened (Saturday). I was made unaware that Saturday is not a "business day" with my background I had already known this. So I waited for it to be deposited today (Monday), (the Mobile banking says that my check has been accepted and deposited as of noon today) as I was told it would be by 5pm. It's is now 6:45pm on Monday and the money has still not been deposited into my account. Once this check finally gets deposited ( whenever that may be) into my account I will be finding a new bank to use.
