Honestly it took over 10 minutes for someone to get to the counter to cash me out. And it was only one item. Not to mention prices are a bit spendy

I went into Big 5 Sporting Goods store on 6/7/2022. On Mccarran blvd. To Buy 2 pairs of shoes that were supposed to be on sale. We informed the Cashier WHO TURNS OUT TO BE THE MANAGER. Of the sale on the shoes WHICH HE ACKNOWLEDGED but refused to honor the price which was not only informed by us the customer but the tag I brought to him from on the shelf. PLUS showed him the sale ON MY PHONE for the exact shoes. At which point he rang up the shoes at full PRICE once we got home and realized he would NEVER HONOR THE PRICE. WE BROUGHT THE SHOES BACK TO THE STORE. AND WITH A SMUG SMILE ON HIS FACE AND IN FRONT OF OTHER CASHIERS FINALLY HONORED THE SALE BECAUSE HE THEN KNEW HE HAD NO OTHER CHOICE. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION THEY ARE VERY DISHONEST AND NOT AFRAID TO STEEL FROM THE HONEST HARD WORKING PEOPLE OF RENO/SPARKS NEVADA.

Don't go here for guns especially hand gun! "Aint got nun!" That's what the employee told me. Small and cluttered. Employee was cordial.

Loved my visit. I went looking for gym bags, and as soon as I walked in I was greeted by a store employee. As I walked around, I was greeted by another store employee who was finished helping another customer, and offered to help me find my items. I definitely felt welcome here. Excellent customer service from multiple employees.

The location and inventory is good, but the customer experience/treatment is horrible. They have a rude manager in my opinion, and should really work on their customer friendliness.

Walking into Big 5 always feels like I'm being brought back to 2006. I don't think a single thing has changed in this store since that time but that's not to say it's a bad thing. Bought a kettlebell for an average price, the dude that ring me up was nice, I'll probably go back again.
