Used to work here they never treat there employees right or customers. They basically forced us to beg the customers to apply for the credit card, on behalf of the customers I apologize for ur experience.would never work for a manager who pressures there employees and threatens to fire them.

I am not the primary member & when I applied for bjs perks to save on gas, they charged me for a membership that I didn't approve of. when I tried to straighten it out, the customer service I got from the garner assistant manager was uncalled for. several of the gas station attendants have major attitudes. if you hate your job....leave

I have to agree with some of the other reviews I've read. Customer service here is terrible. I have been a bj's customer for several years, but I will no longer shop there. I had an issue with an online purchase return. It took them less than 24 hours to debit my credit card and almost two weeks later no refund. I finally had to get my credit card company involved for resolution. I did receive a follow up call from customer service in Garner. The person I talked to was not sincere and overall I gathered they could have cared less. That's okay. I have found the best way to protest is to stop giving money to businesses that are not people friendly. Sure, bj's will survive without my tiny paper cut of revenue. However, maybe one day enough paper cuts like myself will add up to a hemorrhaging of revenue that will force the company to straighten up. Time will tell.

I pay for a bj’s membership to receive rude customer service by SHANIQUA people trying to sell home repairs and internet services while shopping and you cannot even use the self checkout without being asked to sign up for a bjs credit card or auto renewal. This has become an unpleasant experience and doesn’t seem worth it anymore. I can go shop at food lion and receive the same rude service without having to pay a memebership fee.

Bill & Steven are wonderful and have been working at the Garner BJ's location for many years, probably as long as we've lived in the area. Bill always has something nice to say to someone that’ll brighten your day. They're both extremely friendly and fast when checking receipts and getting you out the door. And they've both worked through the pandemic. They are the best! The store itself could use some overall updating. Signage in some places is worn, display cases could be freshened up and the lottery ticket kiosks on the way out are a little dirty looking. I always use self checkout and I’ve come to expect problems with the dated machines. For instance today they had a major freezer issue. The floor can be pretty empty some hours of the day so it can be hard to find someone to ask assistance from. Wesleys store brand can be a hit or a miss and the prepared party plate selection is usually of better value at other big box stores. And there are occasions where we have coupons but the product is out of stock in store. Nonetheless, we buy the essential name brand here and save when filling up on gas. This club is conveniently located not too far off Hwy 70 and so after long road trips coming from the east, stop in and stock up easily. Also, don't forget to stop in and grab a bite to eat at the shopping center.

I drive a truck and deliver to bj's, Sam's and Costco a lot. Bj's and Costco are the absolute worse places to deliver. They treat drivers like animals, (seriously) like animals, they make us wait in a cage and take our keys until they feel like unloading us... if it wasn't for truck drivers these places would not exist...period. let that sink in.

The staff is always vey friendly. I can usually find different treats no other store has. They are enforcing mask rules and I see lots of cleaning which is encouraging. The deli is most of the time very busy so expect a wait. If you are looking for high demand items early morning is the best. They get daily truck deliveries.

UPDATE: The Wellsley Farms chicken pot pie is w/o question, the WORST pot pie I've ever had in life. If you like a pie that won't bake, even doubling the time, & void of pot (chicken & vegetables), you might want to try it... It's disgusting... It's like eating raw dough... It went straight in the trash. Pretty slow ahead of the snow... Unfortunately, the deli counter staff were up to the task of being even slower... Like it was everyone's first day... This experience is part of the reason I dropped BJ's... The better half signed us back up for "convenience" ... We'll be cancelling. Go to Costco for better service, better selection & better prices.
