I had a not so satisfying experience with my online print order that was to be picked up at the Summerville, SC location. I filled out the survey they emailed me and within the hour, I had heard from the manager of the department (Liz) and the store manager(Matt). Not only was I refunded my money but they also reprinted my order. It was FANTASTIC! THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Just leaving and couldn’t get the air pods that I wanted because they were in lock up. I wasn’t important enough to be accommodated. Sad. Also the general Mgr was there interviewing. They still made me wait for nothing. Still didn’t get them. Sad. Go spend your money at target.

I had to add one star in order to post this comment. It actually should be minus a few stars after the service I received from Liz in printing and marketing. I placed an online special order that qualified for a 24 hour turn around.on 5/8. I called a few times prior to the hour drive to pick up the item only to find out it was never done. I asked when it could be done and was told that 12 other people were ahead of me and they’d have to be done 1st before I could get my merchandise and no answer on when I should expect the item. I asked for my money back and was told I’d need to call corporate. So I figure at this point I’m without the merchandise and money. So Liz-office manger you won!!!! I promise I’ll never step back in another Staples ever again. Your rude and unprofessional. My favorite part is watching you complain on your cell phone about me asking for my refund. Really!!! Just do your job!!!

Disappointment. Said it would take over 24 hours to print 15 copies of a simple, one-sided, black and white document on card stock. Really?!? I just sent 20 some different pictures from my phone to Walgreens and it was printed in less than 10 minutes.

I'm sharing this because I want Staples to know what a regular user is going through. I wanted to get out of the house, support local jobs, and have the instant gratification of leaving the store with my "stuff". I needed 4 things: 1) Turbotax; 2) a couple of journals; 3) a screen protector for my Samsung phone; 4) a screen protector for my Fitbit. After searching around for about 10 minutes, I flagged down a store employee, who told me that they only handled Apple accessories (So, no Fitbit or Samsung). He added that they probably had these "online". They had journals in the store, but none I was crazy about. I decided to try another store, and left without purchasing anything. Once in my car (and mildly frustrated) I decided to check Amazon. I got both screen protectors, journals that were exactly what I wanted, and I saved $20 on the version of Turbotax that I needed ($50 with Staples). All delivered next day. The entire endeavor took about 10 minutes. Staples: I want to shop in your store. However, you need to provide a better selections and you cannot charge a 60% premium for the privelidge. Also, be advised, that when you send a customer to shop online, you are at a huge disadvantage.

A nightmare if you need any sort of customer service. Every time I’ve tried to have something done in the printing area—printing or laminating—it’s been a massive headache. It seems like only one employee actually knows how to run that department and he’s so overwhelmed helping customers or babysitting the other employees in that area (who are clueless) that by the time he gets to you to help he has no patience left. This is a poor experience for everyone involved and it’s painful to see people struggling like this at work. ☹️

Drove past three other places that opened at 8:30 because this location opened at 8, was needing 2 single page PDFs printed. Attendant directed me to email the files to the copier and follow the instructions. Copier then needed the attendants assistance. When she finally came over she 'corrected' me by saying I shouldn't have let the copier go back to sleep so it lost my job. Well excuse me, I didn't know it was going to take you so long to come over when I asked for help. She couldn't get it working so she told me to find another copier. The one next to it, out of ink. The one next to that, out of order. Next one I used... After sending my PDF and hitting print the copier was "processing" for well over 10 minutes (it was a 300KB pdf, nothing big). When I asked again for help, she shrugged her shoulders and said it sometimes takes a while. By the time I walked out, without my prints, all three other locations I passed by were open. I use work for CopyMax inside OfficeMax; it's not that hard to give customers better attention than this and less attitude.

I really like the Staples in Summerville. It is very convenient to get in and out of for all of your business supply needs. They have really good prices and savings and friendly employees that are on hand to provide all of the assistance you could want. Awesome to have this store in this location. It is very well run.

There need to hire more staff or the staff they have now need some training in how to help the customers in timely manner. I don't have all day to spend in staples.
