Chip Wood started Tire Discounters over 40 years ago. He revolutionized the industry at that time, including mounting and balancing at no additional charge. These guys are amazing. They make it feel like a small town shop where everyone knows you and makes sure you get taken care of. They really care about their military veterans. My 2003 tundra feels like a brand new truck. I am very grateful for guys like Allen, Tim, and Caleb who still take pride in their work. That is something that is rare these days. Excellent service. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Went to one on Lee Highway that was covered up and they called their sister stores to find one that was not as busy so I could get work completed.

Quick and friendly service. The techs have always been friendly and helpful while also not pushing their products or services down your throat, unlike a local competitor of theirs. I visited yesterday to have my brakes replaced and they informed me that I still had life in both my front and rear brakes. They helped to identify the problem with my rotors which was causing the squeaky brakes. So, they helped me develop a plan of attack while also not suggesting to replace brakes that are not quite ready. Their honesty is greatly appreciated.

My son and I are from Florida and were driving in Chattanooga when my passenger rear tire shredded. Fortunately Tire Discounters were nearby. We were extremely impressed with the service given. Very friendly & efficient. I even received a call after the fact to see if everything was okay with the tire. I definitely recommend Tire discounters for service, fairness ad friendliness. +

I am a Tire Discounters (TD) customer for life!! This was my first time visiting the Gunbarrel location. I went into this location to price a set of tires. A very nice guy, Steve, helped me find and price my set of continental tires. It was an easy process, I put down my deposit, tires were ordered, they called me next day, I took my truck in and within 2 hours, I had new tires and alignment. I was so happy to find out TD offers Uber for their customers needing transportation back to the store AND they offer total service and will pick up your vehicle, complete your service and return it back to you!! To me this is ultimate customer service. They were thorough in explaining the work that was performed and asked if I had additional questions. I would highly recommend TD for the care of your vehicle. Check them out online for your oil change, tires, etc.

dropped off my car for a new set of tires and due to timing I had to pick the car up after they closed. I looked the job over and there are several issues. First all the tires are mounted backwards. The sidewalk that says inside is outside , all 4 of them. So I am not a tire expert but I think that means the tread is now running backwards. Also the material they use to lubricate the wheels with is all over the rims. They didnt even bother to clean it up. It's not one wheel it's all of them. And last my vehicle door jamb calls for 35 psi rear and 33 front. It's right there easy to read. I've got 35-36 on all positions. What's the point of a tire professional if they are not even going to install and inflate the tires correctly. Very disappointed!! The good news is they were fast , I guess if you don't have to do the job correct it's easier to go fast

Visit 1: I did skip the shop (Tabitha is AMAZING, BTW). they put new tires on my car and everything seems fine. I had a great experience. Visit 2: Make an appointment- sit for 2 hours & my car hasn’t even been pulled back into the shop. I leave upset. Visit 3: Did another skip the shop to avoid appointment not being honored at visit 2, get a phone call that my wheel lock is missing and they can’t rotate tires without it. Turns out, they had the wheel lock at their shop from visit #1. I was very understanding and let it go. A day later my oil light comes on telling me that my oil is too low. Take my car back AGAIN to get it topped off. Visit 4: I go to Signal Mountain location, because I am annoyed by the Gunbarrel location due to ^^ said prior visits. Have a great experience. Visit 5: I decide to try skip the shop at Gunbarrel location again. I called dispatch, made an appointment and told them what I needed done. I get my email confirmation and everything is set. 12 o’clock rolls around on an appointment day and my car still hasn’t been picked up. I called the shop and they say they don’t have an appointment for me and so they make me another one. They come to get my car and they take it to the shop and Tabatha brings it back to me (she was great again). I asked her if they check the coolant because my cool it was low and she says let me call and check, sure enough they didn’t and so she has to take it all the way back. She brings my car back again and everything is fine. Today, my oil light comes on AGAIN telling me that my oil was low!!!!!! I called and asked to speak with the manager because at this point it’s just been a fiasco every time they’ve had my car. He is extremely unfazed by the fact that I’ve had multiple horrible experiences with them. He then says that I’ve probably given them the wrong information. Which was interesting considering it is not my job to tell them how much oil my car requires. He continues to say that on my VIN number it has two different levels for the oil one at 4.4 and one at 4.7, and that’s why they have been filling it up low every time. According to him, it was not their fault. When I ask what they can do for me he’s like, “I mean I guess we can come by and top it off and I apologize.” I am typically not a Karen, but his lack of empathy and concern for how dysfunctional and unorganized every experience I’ve had that I PAY them for, really ticked me off. I immediately drove to the Signal Mountain location and they were very very helpful! They topped my oil off and confirmed that it does in fact clearly say 4.7!! I will never use the Gunbarrel location again. I will also be sharing with my coworkers as well. Be more like Signal! Thanks!

I stopped by to have my soft tire fixed. I was told that it couldn’t be fixed. They recommended I buy a new tire from them. I asked if they had the same tire so I could match my other 3 pretty new tires, and they said yes. The tire was way overpriced but I had no choice since they said they can’t put my original tire back. After I went home I realized that the tire they gave me did not match the other three, not even close. They also put the different tire on the front axle of my AWD! I called back to get this fixed, but the process and attitude weren’t very pleasant. I was also promised to have a partial refund since they sold me a more expensive mis-matching tire but never got it.

Driving up from West Palm Beach, FL I had an issue with a tire. Steve, was polite and professional. He understood that I was looking to drive out the same day and efficiently took me through the process and my options. I was very impressed with the way he handled the situation and I am grateful it was he who was there to help me when I needed it. The value was great, the tire is quality and I am home safely.
