I cannot say how much I love this store!!! I went for the first time this weekend and it did not disappoint! The staff was super awesome. And the amount of plus size clothing available is INSANE. As a plus sized lady it’s hard to go thrifting because a lot of places don’t have anything! But clothesline is the complete opposite!! I can’t wait to go back!! I gave only 4 stars because I live so far away the owner really needs to consider opening one in Bristol Va or Abingdon!!

At 5:00 pm on Friday (1 hour) before closing, I purchased a top for $7.99, I rushed home to put it on to go out to dinner. Unfortunately, I clipped off the tag. After looking in the mirror, I decided it was not flattering. On Saturday at noon, (2 hours after opening, I attempted to return for an exchange. Because the tag was removed, the manager would not accept the top. She said that although she understood that it was not worn., the polivy stuck. I returned to my home and brought back the other item that I had purchased , STILL WITH TAGS and gave them both items. I lost $20 buvks. They gained !20 , gained their shirts, BUT I WILL NEVRR RETURN. Costumer serbice and kindness trumps EVERYTHING when you own a business.

My daughter drove the first time, not knowing the hours for them to look at her clothes and the lady cut her off at the door and it was too late to come back point blank. Round 2 today, she took her items and told her it would be about an hour before they would be able to give her a price. Well we went back and she said she was just starting it and would need 10 minutes. She waits 15 minutes and goes back in. The lady told her she could only accept 1 shirt of all items, that they don't accept long sleeves off season, or scarves ever. She could have taken 2 minutes when we first got there and to glance through them to say that. We were there almost 2 hours for this woman to once again be rude and short with my daughter. We have shopped there a few times, but after today we will not be giving any business to them nor will we recommend the business. What a horrible experience and attitude to have towards people. Plain language for what you will accept would be extremely helpful as well as a hint of politeness when working with the public. Side note about the parking lot... It is a small space that could cause an accident as there is barely space to park and back up.

The clothes I took were like brand new when the shirts they had on the racks where ragged and worn. They fumbled through my clothes and said I didn’t find anything and put my basket by the door. Plato’s closet is where you want to go!

Great buying experience! Lots of inventory that is well organized and clearly priced. Men’s & Ladies sections. A special rack for TN logoed apparel. We walked out with a bag stuffed with finds.

We like to shop here for deals and sometimes we find some. They have never been good for us to sell to. We rarely feel welcomed here and find it lacking in friendliness.

The lady was just short with me and kinda rude when informing me that “she didn’t find anything”. like you don’t have to make a disgusted face. they also just put your bagged clothes on a shelf in the store where anyone can grab them. Their prices are also high even though they pay you like $2.50 for a great brand of jeans. Go to Plato’s Closet where you’ll be respected.

A must stop when I visit Johnson City from Michigan. I make sure to save my moolah so I can add to my wardrobe. The girls there are so friendly and patient. I always find some AMAZING clothes and a few pairs of earrings. I've never left disappointed!!
