Love this store, sad to see it in this shape and to get out-runned by dollar general and Walmart, but this was also the store that Johnny Depp acted at in 92 for the film "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?"

My truck broke down there and they were kind enough to let me leave it in their lot until I could arrange to get it towed.

Sorry but the business is in bad need need of a deep clean, severe maintenance and exterior updates. The gas tanks are ancient and non functional. The tanks sit is a dilapidated parking lot that has no public use value. Can’t park on it and it is a sore sight to see. Wish someone would buy it and make something of it. Makes me sad to see it when I drive by.

Staying at the fleabag hotel next door. They get one star fir being open, but that’s it. Almost $8.50 for a bag of potato chips, a 16-ounce soda, and a regular-size Hershey bar. I should have guessed as I was the only one in there. No prices posted. When I heard the price I should have walked out, but they have a captive audience with people staying next door. Seriously, go to Walmart, or hell even a gas station, and save some money. This was not a good shopping experience anyway as it’s dirty and poorly stocked. The cashier was less than welcoming, as she had to get up from her conversation with her boyfriend or coworker or whoever.

I love Arnie Grape, so the more I shop here, the better chance of his brother Gilbert bringing home a paycheck! Down with Foodland and big box stores!

My buddy Ali owns this place and he is friendly as can be. Great little old town store

This store is always selling expired food. The health department should shut this place down. I never even buy a candy bar from this store again
