Safelite in McKinney sucks! We had an appointment about 3 weeks ago for them to come to our house to replace our windshield. They called an hour before they were to be there and cancelled. We scheduled another appointment at their shop for today at 11:00. At 11:45 they had not even moved our vehicle. They did not seem busy and we very disorganized.

Really great service. . .arrived on time for my appointment (the website was easy to use and set up a convenient time to visit), was welcomed and processed in quickly. While they said it would take 1 1/2 - 2 hours, it only took 45 minutes and the installing tech took time to explain what we could and couldn't do with the new windshield before we left. Highly recommend!

A technician named Giancarlo came to my house to repair a windshield. He was personable, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He answered all my questions and was very straightforward. I would not hesitate to use Safelite again in the future.

While on a road trip to the Dallas area, the rubber trim around the windshield came loose (we had a new windshield installed in Colorado a couple months prior). Although they had no available appointments while we were staying in the area, it was suggested that I go there first thing in the morning and see if they can stabilize it for our trip home. I got to the shop a little before 7am, and the manager was very helpful in getting the work done between appointments. I needed to wait for the assistant manager to come in to do the work. The work was done efficiently... they glued the piece down so that we could make the trip home and make an appointment with my local shop.

I was skeptical of taking my vehicle here to get the windshield replaced after reading the reviews on here. I am also aware that most people only leave reviews to share a negative experience. Well, my experience was quick, easy, and painless. I dropped my car off in the morning and picked it up before they closed. Safelight did a great job and had excellent communication about the status of my vehicle during repairs. Obviously incompetent employees. took 2 weeks to schedule a windshield repair. Stated it would take 3 hrs. That was 28 hrs ago. My car is still not repaired. Claimed that windshield was not setting right and got defective after glass was set. Now they don't even get back when it will be done. I call that incompetence! Service: Auto windshield replacement

My husband had his windshield replaced on his Dodge truck 2 weeks ago. 5 days later when we finally drove the truck, we noticed that the drivers side windshield wiper was contorted around and would not work. When the service member who did the repair was contacted, he proceeded to tell my husband how to fix it himself, which is NOT my husbands responsibility to do, especially in as bad of shape as the wiper is. We're deeply regretting using Safelite for our repair and will now have to take our truck to the dealer and have them work on it for $$$. This is no way to treat any customer, especially a disabled Veteran. Service: Auto windshield replacement

They have a policy that while fixing a small chip that if it expands they aren’t responsible. They assure you that hasn’t happened in 2 months but of course it happened to me. Although I understand it’s a policy that they are entitled too, I believe the team shouldn’t make a 95% guarantee that it won’t happen. Very little care or concern after it happened. Now the entire window needs to be repaired. If they stand behind their work an offer to pay deductible on a window replacement would have been offered or considered.
