I was getting ready to see them for the first time and my back injections were delayed from a morning appointment. I called before I left to let them know I was going to be late because I had to drive so far and she's said "That's fine". I called because I live over an hour away and could not afford to spend extra gas. Five minutes before we arrived they cancelled the appointment. Saying the doctor didn't accept late patients. I called because I had the long drive and respect people's time. The doctor and the staff said no period. This wasn't a "Grace period" issue. I filled out all the paperwork that would have taken longer to do their at home. Never ever again. Why wouldn't they have me rescheduled if he's that concerned about it. I called to make sure this wasn't a problem. So wrong now 80 in gas for no reason.

July 2022! They are requiring MASK AGAIN!! DON'T COMPLY!! As Americans we must stop the madness. Boycott this location. Poor customer service anyways. Take your business somewhere else!!

Very very poor lens quality. Got my glasses in December, over time they've developed an opaque color to the lens from scratches, very fine ones. I only use the cloth provided with them when I picked them up to clean with, I called today to see about getting the lens replaced but there is no warranty on them. I'm told that I declined the warranty when I first purchased these 300 dollars glasses, which is ridiculous! I was never offered a warranty or told there was no warranty included in the price but the manager reports thats the first question asked, no its not, its skiped by the ppl selling the frames all together. I'm told I did get the scratch resistant lens but I doubt I actually got what I paid for now. I'm out of a pair of glasses and can't see and can not get help from this location. Go to Walmart ya'll, stay away from this place.

Don’t recommend for kids. We got “dr.Aaron” something he wasn’t patient at all with my kid lost his cool with him really fast, which I would get because my son would look over at me out of fear and reassurance, but don’t receive pediatric patients if you’re going to be rude to them. Other then looking over at me to make sure I was still in the room he stood as still as he could and actually tried to do his best. The doctor even stated “hey look over here you’re big enough to understand” my son was scared in a new setting with this man talking to him as if he’s a grown man, he’s 5! Barely even did the exam only tried 2 different slides before he decided he wasn’t going to try anymore and made him a prescription. The prescription was way off I didn’t trust his decision since he barely even asked my son anything and got another prescription done elsewhere and my son has better results and his head doesn’t hurt either. I also gave him a note they had given me at school and all he did was sign it and couldn’t be bothered to read it and fill out his prescription. Dr. Aaron was overall rude and unprofessional definitely shouldn’t be allowed to serve pediatric patients because all he did was make my son scared and wrote him a wrong prescription. The white receptionist also acts like she’s doing you a favor by checking you in and was overall rude and unhelpful every time we talked. Everyone one else of the staff we encountered were lovely patient and kind with my son the lady that gives you your filled prescription glasses and the Hispanic lady that helped us order them were so kind to my son a a breath of fresh air to this otherwise hostile place.

Today is a good day, I want to Thank Mrs. Donta I may have spelled her name wrong but she know exactly who I am talking about, for her assistant today I called to get a trial pair of contacts that I couldn't get from another location In Arlington Tx American Best, So let me first tell you the situation, I had purchased some contacts in February of 2021 that I think they over charge me for and I had 2 pair that they did not replace when I called and told them that they were defected I went for several months and never got a call back about my replacement. So the trial pair that I am wearing today is Very comfortable and I feel like the main contacts that I had a year ago is not the same Quilty that I have on now and the only difference is my last year pair is a name brand and my trial pair is a down grade like if the other American Best wanted just money off my insurance or rip them off I would have just went somewhere else to get ripped off. The American Best in Waxahachie Tx, was truly helpful even the young lady at the front Desk that answered the call and answering my questions.. I really appreciate them at that location. I will be back sooner than later 🙏🏾🙏🏾God bless...

Katie the front desk receptionist was so sweet and helpful with getting me set up with Optician Adriana. From there the experience was AMAZING! She was very attentive with listening to my concerns and patient through the whole process being I came in with a prescription from another provider. She went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with my order selection/final cost. I was very pleased with the service received on today! By reading the reviews below I wasn’t going to go but since it was close by I just stopped by anyway and glad I did.

Worst experience at the Waxahachie location. We have visited this location many times and it has never been a great experience. We purchased 3 pairs of glasses last year because the first pair broke within a few weeks and the repair wasn't covered under their warranty. We had to call multiple times to check on the status of glasses. 3/16/22 we stopped by around 5:30 PM and when greeted let them know we were looking for glasses. At that time another employee interrupted letting us know that they had taken their last patient of the day. I explained that we didn't need an eye exam and that we needed to pick out glasses and drop off a pair to have the lenses replaced. She repeated that they were seeing their last patient of the day and I asked what time they closed. I was told that they close at 7 pm. Odd that at 5:30 pm they were no longer helping anyone and all sales reps were leaving. We were told we couldn't leave the glasses & order the new lenses. They didn't offer to set up a time for us to come back or any other solution.

So....my brother has a pair of glasses from here and the handle broke...took them up there to get the handle fixed OR a new frame. I go in and the lady that was there 1st of all was sitting when i walked in, never got up, and when i told her what i wanted, she simply said, those are an old model and we don't have anymore....she never got up....never EVEN tried to look and seemed so unbothered. I took the glasses to Walmart and the gentleman there not only GOT UP to help but he checked 10 frames until he found a perfect fit! It cost me $90 but the effort he put in and the service alone made it money well spent....not going back to Americas Best ever again....period....worse service ever...

Let's start with the bad news first. The wait times were a little long. Communication was lacking as I had to call and ask if my order was ready to find out one pair was lacking due to supply chain problems. Now, the good. All staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable. I appreciate Cecilia the most. She assisted choosing frames and lenses, twice. Even with the supply chain problems, I had my first pair in two weeks. Second pair in four weeks. Ordered another pair yesterday and should have those in two weeks. That last is a pair of computer glasses. The doctor wrote a special script at no extra charge. Cecilia assisted choosing frames again and since the previous two were wife and daughter approved, have confidence these will also be approved. And finally, yes, I would recommend them and buy from them again.

*THIS IS AN UPDATED REVIEW FROM THE ONE I POSTED 8 MONTHS AGO* STAY AWAY FROM THE WAXAHACHIE TX LOCATION. Every time I walk into the Waxahachie location it is one issue after another. Twice now I have had issues that were only resolved once a district manager stepped in to make sure things were taken care of properly. However, this last time I walked in to see if my glasses could be repaired due to a screw that had fallen out and a misshaped frame that was not allowing the lenses to sit right. The screw was replaced but I was told nothing was wrong with the frame of that my glasses and that that was just how the lenses were made. I reached out on to America's Best on Twitter since that had worked twice in the past. I provided photos of what was wrong with the glasses. I was assured that the district manager would be contacted to resolve the issue. I then received a call about an hour later from the employee who had "helped" me earlier in the store. Right off the back I could tell she was upset by her tone. She said she had received my complaint and all I had to do was say I was wanting to warranty the glasses out if that's what I wanted from the beginning. I told her I took the glasses to them so they could see if they could be fixed. When the employee told me there was nothing they could do for me and then walked away I assumed that was not an option. When I brought this up and said it wasn't my job to determine if the glasses could be fixed I got a laugh and was told I could warranty the glasses out but that there was nothing wrong with them. The way I was talked to was so disrespectful and condescending. I reached out on Twitter to update them about what had happened but I guess they felt having an employee call me and try to talk down to me was more than enough and never responded. I drove to their cedar hill location that afternoon and the experience was completely different. Their manager Chris was super helpful and immediately saw the issue with my glasses. He told me there was no need to warranty the glasses out and had them fixed within 15 minutes. He also replaced the screw that the Waxahachie location had put in since they hadn't put in a screw that fit right. If all stores were as helpful as them this would be a 5 star review no questions asked. But it's a shame that having an America's Best 5 minutes down the road from me in Waxahachie I have to drive 40 minutes to Cedar Hill to be treated with respect. If you are in the Waxahachie area and can't drive to Cedar Hill I would recommend you go to Dr. Brown at Vital Vision right down the road. He is awesome and always listens to any issues you may have. It would save you the headache of dealing with everyone inside the Waxahachie America's Best location. I have attached the same pictures sent to America's Best support prior to having their rude employee call me to tell me there was not an issue with my glasses. One set of pictures was from the side with he issue and the other was from the side with the bent frame. ONCE AGAIN, CHRIS AND ALL THE STAFF AT THE CEDAR HILL LOCATION WERE AWSOME AND SUPER UNDERSTANDING. I just wish I didn't have to make the unnecessary 40 minute drive to receive proper service.
