This location is being exploited by CVS management. Intentional short staffing due to pharmacist transfers to other salt lake cvs locations has created delays in medication schedules for chronic wasting disease patients. The staff are great, the staffing, caused by hands off incompetents, is equivalent to having staph in terms of hardship. I hope the district manager gets a staphylococcus infection and cannot get treatment, he/she is a staph infection to your society. I live in Michigan, and had the displeasure of dealing with this first hand while traveling with a chronically ill child.

Tonight I raced to the Orem CVS after a long day at work and got there about 15 minutes before they closed. There were two people there. They saw me, ignored me, and I patiently waited while they did other things. When the tech. finally approached me, she rudely asked what I needed. After I told her the prescription, she needed a number and I said I’d pull it up from my phone. While I was quickly pulling up the number, she said “we are closed, come back tomorrow“ and she shut the gate. I couldn’t believe that actually happened. I understand wanting to get home after a long day, but that whole experience was just unbelievable.

The pharmacist at the counter told me it would be a fifteen minute wait and that I would get a text when the prescription was ready. I waited over an hour. Got in line to all what was going on and the guy said, oh, turns out we don’t have that in stock. We’re getting out tomorrow. Why the hell didn’t they notify me when they realized they didn’t have it???? I just spent the last hour and a half wandering around target, waiting. I now have to drive home in rush hour traffic and have paint supplies in my hot car drying out. I only waited so long because my doctor said to use this pharmacy for a coupon (my insurance was cheaper so it didn’t even matter) and I’m not up here very often. It’s not a quick or convenient location for me and they didn’t have the common courtesy to text me that the medicine isn’t available.

Both technicians were very rude. The first one said " your Insurance (Selecthealth) is not going to cover the Flu shot, it's going to be $50.00 . I Saud no thanks, I'll just get the covid buster please. Then she asks for my Insurance card goes to the back, hands me back my card & says to have a seat & wait. The other tech comes to give me my vaccine, & co firmes both vaccines, I said not the flu please, it's too expensive. Then she says, to the other tech " hey, her Insurance is covering the flu right, the other responds yes, looking at me like as if she never said it wasn't covered before 😑 Never a please or thank you from either one. At the end I asked for the $5.00 gift card they advertised they would give when you get your vaccines scheduled with CVS, the tech just looks at me with an upset face & says "we're not doing that this year " ! No apology or anything! Shish ! Then DON'T ADVERTISE IT !!!

Just got barked at by the pharmacist to get up to the desk. Absolutely no reason for that kind of behavior. I had kept checking to see if the window was open but it’s hard to see when the person ahead of you is right up to the counter. It wasn’t that long that I had turned away, and no attempt was made to courteously request that the next person move up. It was startling and triggered my PTSD. Considering that a pharmacy is serving people who are struggling, I would think a more compassionate attitude would prevail. Edit: Encountered this same person a couple of weeks ago, and they were very kind and professional that day. So upping my stars to 3.

Unfortunately, like a lot of businesses, this place seems to have gone downhill since the pandemic. They appear to be perennially understaffed, and what staff they do have are slow and have a deer-in-the-headlights look. All of this contributes to long wait times and lines that block shopping aisles for Target customers. This is assuming, of course, that they even fill your prescription in the first place. My medication had to be refilled last Friday, but someone there had put in the wrong refill date, and I was not able to pick up my prescription all weekend long. Luckily, this medicine is not essential, or else it could have been really dangerous.

I had my doctor send a prescription for Paxlovid for Covid and the pharmacist refused to fill it without a renal test. Who is going to go get a renal test at a lab when they are sick with Covid!? Meanwhile, my doctor’s office closes and it’s the weekend, so I lost precious time within a 5 day window to take the prescription. I ended up having my doctor send the prescription to Walgreens where they had never heard of the renal test requirement. I’ve had problems getting the correct thyroid meds from them in the past since they refuse to fill the prescription as written by my doctor because they want to push a different product. I’ll never go back to CVS.

so terrible. I called on Monday to fill a prescription and they said they would have it by Tuesday I even got a text that it was ready but when I came in the said it would be ready by Wednesday. I drive over on Wednesday and they say it'll be ready Thursday. I go Thursday and they tell me they’re out of stock and won’t have it till Monday. I call Monday and they tell me they still don’t have it but can get it from another cvs… why didn’t we do that the first time instead of waiting a week?

Really bad experience. Waited in line for 15 minutes just to be told my daughters prescription needed to be ‘ordered’ still and wasn’t on file to fill. Had to hop in another line for 10 minutes just to be told they actually had it on file (but they didn’t before….) but it was ‘processing’. Go shopping with my two kids under the age of 2 for 20 minutes. Come back, and told its still ‘processing’ but the thing is the prescription just needs to be mixed it’s just a matter if they have it in stock and slapping a label on the bottle. She looks it up for the 4th time and says it’s gone up in price by $120…. From a month ago. The lady at the desk was condescending and wasn’t listening. Just repeating herself over and over again. I don’t think she knew what was going on and tried to act like she did. All the other times I’ve been there Young adults have helped me and I’ve had no problems. This older lady just didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing but didn’t ask for help even though she wasn’t making any sense whatsoever. Just making up answers or redirecting my very clearly directed questions. Very unhelpful. Needless to say after being there for 40 minutes with my kids on top of trying to call and being put on hold for 10 minutes before coming I just transferred it to a different pharmacy for over $150 dollars cheaper.

Nice people, but WAY too busy to be worth using them. It can take a week for them to fill a prescription. Ive had them incorrectly fill 3 prescriptions now and so I have to check carefully each time. I spent 20 minutes on hold the other day and never got to talk to a person. If my prescription insurance allowed me to use any other pharmacy I would do so.
