Newport News store is the WORST! Staff too busy chatting amongst themselves, guy at check out could barely greet and was utterly clueless! No good vibes or positive energy in this fitness / sports store! Spent a lot for kids soccer, will not be revisiting this store again! Suggest ordering from Amazon before wasting your time in this retail store!

Went in therefor a new bike there were 3 gentle man in the bike area not one of them helped or asked if i needed assistance. All they did was have their private conversations. One guy was standing around, one older guy was actually working a bike. The other was just following the other guy around like a puppy. Very disappointed in the service in this place. Took my business else were and bought the two electric bikes. I originally came in for.

I went to get a yoga stretching strap. They did not have one in store. They sell plenty of athletic close. They also have a lot of gear for your traditional sports like baseball, football, basketball, & soccer. I was intrigued by there selection of mountain and BMX bikes. I may have to go back and buy a Nishiki bike

It's ok. More of a clothing store. Makes me miss sports authority. I needed dirt bike and skate board equipment. They had nothing

Not enough employees and one of then didn't wanted to check on the back for an item , when it clearly saids there's 3 on stock and online. BTW I made a curbside pick up order and still outside waiting even tho I got an confirmation email. So I might said the employees do want to search and are tierd, they need to hired more people or the management its not good and this is why the stores failing to comply orders. Sad. Very sad

My Associate "Fidel" (according to my sales receipt) seemed disturbed to help me with my purchase. The display boot I was interested in did not have a price tag, nor did any of boxes. The footwear associate also seemed bothered to help me. The only reason I even shopped there today was because I received a gift card. Bass Pro Shop & Cabela's is my outdoor store of choice; they are firearm & NRA friendly! 😎🇺🇸 - A/ATW

Pretty good store. Mostly clothes, but some equipment. Quantity and selection rotates from sport season to season. They keep a good selection of golf, fishing, basketball, and baseball/softball year round. Weights, cardio, and bikes selections are pretty good for a big box store.

I've always liked the store but the customer service is awful. You can't exchange an item for a more expensive item because they can't figure out how to charge you. Call customer service and they give you completely different information and instructions then the store wants to argue with you. They have zero clue how to handle people. Heather the manager is absolutely rude and raised her voice. Horrible experience

We went there on a rainy Sunday, with only 5 days untill Christmas 🎄 , at Patrick Henry Mall, expecting a heavily crowded mall and stores... Our visit with four children (3, 5, 11, 14) was a quick and easy, in and out. Soccer shoes and soccer balls for all four, a gift for Dad and Mom, and Uncle B. Yes, we spent quite a few $$$$. There were many shoppers who appeared to be grazing and shopping 🛍 . There were ample store associates to assist shoppers with their needs, basically no waiting in line for/to check out. There was an acute sense of social distancing by store associates and shoppers/ customers alike. All of the store associates were kind, courteous and eager to assist.

This is a good place for general sporting goods. They have good examples of entry level anything sporting for a reasonable price. Return policies and customer service is good. If you want more specialty items, you do better at a specialty store, though they have quite a lot beyond what is on display that you can order online.
