Bank of America closed their main office on Park Street leaving only this small branch office to serve the entire city of Alameda, population 80,000. At any given time there are never more than one or two tellers on duty, so the lines are always, always long and slow. You can never call on the phone; instead you always get the same massage on the automated messaging system telling you everyone is busy and then hanging up on you. I don't blame the people who work at the bank. I blame BoA for cutting costs to the point of absurdity.

Currently looking at a line almost to the front door. 1 teller ( poor soul) 2 managers not helping ...wow great customer service.

I second the emotions of many here: too many managers standing around instead of getting behind the glass wall and attending to the customers. Long line going in for only one teller for about 15 minutes. Second teller opens, but the line gets even longer. Poor management of resources. Despite all that, the lady attending me, finally, was super nice and efficient. Kudos to her!

Do not come here , they will change up how they cash your check, I tell them every time I do not want to sign up with them since I know the are corrupt. Today they refused me service saying since I don’t have an account with them I can’t cash my check even though they have done it multiple times. I truly hope your get shut down Change your slogan to “can we help you with the ATM” and “ can we help you open up an account “ Staff unwilling to help elderly upsets me. Staff telling people they need to make take out of their day to come in instead of giving them options. This is like the Walmart of banks Your workers are extremely rude walking in between CUSTOMERS without saying excuses me. You need to respect person space. Their is far more than enough room to walk around people and not get in their personal space. It’s a mutual respect that your going to loose. We are all in a rush and don’t remember how you get paid. It’s funny standing in line, you have more managers Than tellers. You have no many people walking around looking like security. You have two tellers working harder than the other 5 people walking around flapper their gums. Not hard to see where all the money is being wasted

Worst Bank of America branch ever to exist, more manager than tellers... Whatever you do do not go to the guy with light eyes, he will mess you up on purpose! This whole Branch does not make sense, to become a manager you have to know how to be a teller / customer service rep, they act like they don't know how instead they just walk around asking how can they help you but refer you to stay in line.... Came in for something quick, ended up staying 2 hours in line... If you have to do any baking service please consider going to another Branch or just going to a out of service Bank...

Worst bank customer service I’ve ever seen. Six employees doing nothing, one teller working while customers wait for over an hour. Do not bring your business here.

Like most people, my experience at this Banking Center was horrible. I had to wait 37 mns to do a literally 30-second transaction. During my wait, I observed the branch staff. I counted 8 bank employees and only 1 was actually helping customers; the poor teller who was by herself at the teller line, getting the line moving....slowly. The other ones were either sitting at their desk or walking around. To go where, no one knows....but no one was assisting customers! It is simply a shame in the Service Industry. Management needs to do something and better (cross)train and/or schedule their staff because it is not fair that we, the customers who pay them each months, have to waste our time in this branch. Maybe BofA should invest in more and better ATM machines to replace these "useless" staff. Just a thought....

The customer service here is pitiful and speaks volumes about how B of A values it’s customers. First, I walked up to the front door to get a foreign currency order that was ready for me to retrieve. The front door had dozens of notices about how BofA is working SO HARD to protect us from Covid, but not one notice explaining that the front door is closed and locked because they want all customers to use the side entrance. So, after spending several minutes trying to get into the front door unsuccessfully, I noticed a growing line that was so long it stretched around the entire side of the building and was now Turin if the corner of the building so that I was now able to see it from the front of the building. This long line was the line for entrance to the bank. 1 customer out = 1 customer allowed in. Fifty minutes later, standing in the beating sun with no shade awning or benches to sit on, it was finally my turn. I explained that I had a foreign currency order ready for pickup. The gentleman at the front desk suggested that I just leave and use the app to order my currency. Trying my hardest not to tell him in no uncertain terms exactly how I felt, I politely explained that I had already ordered the currency and had received an email saying it was here to be picked up, and that I was trying to pick it up. “Oh, have a seat then.” Approx 10 minutes later (for those keeping track, it has now been slightly more than 1 hour since I arrived at the front door of the bank that “values me as a customer.” I find all the signs claiming to “value me” while treating me with disrespect to be either ironic or sarcastic. They clearly don’t value my patronage or they wouldn’t force me to stand in the hot sun for an hour in order to give them my business. If they valued my patronage, they would not lock the front door in me without clear signage explaining where I can go in order to locate the new, “stealth” entrance. If they valued my patronage, they would hire enough employees to provide customer service without forcing old ladies to wither in the sun for an hour without a place to sit down. If they valued my patronage, they would notice that the line stretches down the side of the building and around the corner and down the front of the building, and perhaps they would consider bringing water to those they “value” so much that they’re making them stand outside in the sun for an hour. While each individual employee I interacted with was polite and helpful, the system in which they work that allows customers to be treated like this is shockingly inappropriate. To treat people like this while constantly telling us how much they value us is tantamount to mocking us and is insulting. I come to the bank as seldom as possible, and when I must come, I expect to be treated with respect, not made to wait for an hour while being mocked.

I wish I could rate this as a zero.... My dead grandmother can process the line faster than this location.... 3 hours. In the sun. It is just inhumane. With service like this I recommend selling your bofa stock and closing your accounts.

They are super slow, however staffs are very nice though. They are slow because they don’t have enough trailer. Most of the time I found one trailer working. Every time I go there I get line behind 10-15 people. They needs to hire more people. Anyway the bank is well decorated and clean.
