Prepaid and booked a car online two weeks before pick up date. but we were told there was no available car when we arrived. We then called Avis customer service, the only thing they were willing to do at that situation was a refund which did not help. We carried two big luggages and looking for other ways to get a car ourselves. Terrible experience ever.

Worst or rather no customer service. I wanted to return the car, there are no signs showing the way. I asked a security employee, and he then pushed aside a yellow barrier and I had to drive into a dark, narrow underground car park. Then there was an employee downstairs that I had to give the key to and that was it. Also no signs to the exit, no help from the employee. I went up the ramp despite the signs prohibiting it... Never seen such a shabby station. Don't get there with luggage, it's a disaster. I have rented from Avis many times before but this time was just disappointing and probably the last time. Too bad.

I was apprehensive because of the low stars but everything went smoothly for me. We got a RAV4 which was perfect for going up to Big Bear. It was new and clean. It was cheaper than every other rental company I checked including car share apps. Quick pick-up and return at Union Station. The only hiccup was that I didn't know I needed a physical card for the deposit so I had to go home and get one. I guess that's not a problem for most people but I hate carrying my cards. They'll be my go to next time I need a rental.

The worst service ever!!! I prepaid for an suv that was given away before I arrived. And was told “it happens” by the clerk. They said if I arrive late, my car can be given away even if I prepaid. These are the SUVs currently in their lot as I was forced to take a smaller car.

Great staff and easy access to the cars. The Cara are below the facility and families carrying a lot of luggage or small kids should be aware that there is no elevator down. It is roughly 1.5 flights of stairs. Avis personnel meets you in the garage and gives the vehicle a final check. You return the car to the same parking garage you left from. Easy to find again by typing in Mozaic at Union Station. The directions will take you directly to the garage entrance. Update 04/15 return: rental return process was a breeze. As I mentioned, if you put Mozaic at Union Station Apartments in your GPS it will take you right back to the parking garage. The security guy will wave your thru and Avid personal are typically in the garage with the cars. A quick walk back up the stairs and the rental return was complete.

Despite having a reservation, when I showed up at the location after a $20 Lyft, I was promptly told that they were out of cars and that there was nothing they can do. I was then forced to take another $20 Lyft to another location to rent a car. I was not once given a prior notice by phone or email that the car was no longer available and now I am down $40 for no reason. I would avoid booking cars at this location.

We rented a SUV through Avis on union station in LA for the first time and the experience was excellent. The process when we arrived was quick and the representative was very helpful. I was very nervous after reading all these negative reviews and not many reviews on this specific location. However, I’m glad we did not have any issues what so ever upon checking out the rental and returning it. We will definitely be renting from this place again. Thanks AVIS!!

Staff at the car return area will intimidate you and try to assault you. One staff member stared me down without saying a word or offering to help, and then shoved me while I was trying to find someone to hand my keys to after returning a car. Frightening and infuriating experience. I will never use this center again, and may stop using avis altogether after years of being a loyal customer.

Drop off is not clearly marked. You have to go around the building on the left side with a gated area. Have to have paperwork or you can't get in. The parking is extremely tight. There isn't a clear elevator either so if you need help, don't bother. When we dropped off the car, usually there is someone to give you final paperwork and finalize all your charges. Nope, not here. We were just asked to hand the keys over. Let alone, if you go back to the desk if there is someone to finalize anything. They just wanted an email, not even reference the one on file. Picking up is a pain also. There is only one attendant and forbid someone has an issue or the attendant had to step away. We got here 40 min early to anticipate traffic and a line but didn't expect to spend most of it sitting on anothee customer's issue. If you have luggage again, tight parking. Either have to maneuver the car out or gingerly get things without damaging the other cars.

Worst Avis location in the entire US. I've been renting from Avis for 30 years and have a "preferred" account. Made a reservation a month in advance. Showed up exactly on time and there were no cars available. The gal behind the counter couldn't care less. "We don't have any cars and I can't do anything about it!" She wouldn't even use her computer to find a location that actually had cars.
