My first experience with this businesses was good I went in for a cracked iPhone screen he repaired it. Months later I went for a port cleaning sand go into my phone. I took a laptop that I wanted repaired trusting this business I didn’t think he would dodge every call and not return my laptop. I’m still trying to get in contact it’s been several months. The last time I spoke to him he asked me to txt my cell phone number to him on Dec 2 and haven’t heard anything back. I’ve gone to the store but there’s no getting inside unless he unlocks the door. Don’t do business with this thief!!!!

Tl; dr: Giving them the benefit of the doubt, they are incompetent slobs, but nice. Without the benefit of the doubt, they are thieves and con men. The story: After the apple store told me they wouldn’t fix my iPhone’s power button, I went next door to these guys. They fiddled with my phone for 30 minutes before realizing the replacement part was broken. They gave my phone back, no charge. However, a different problem suddenly cropped up with the screen. I took it to a different store to get it fixed (shout out to iRepair it Fast near Lake and Colorado for doing a great job fixing everything iDoctor broke), and they fixed the original problem with the power button right up. They also showed me that I had an after-market screen, despite having bought my phone straight from apple and never having gotten it fixed before. I confronted iDoctor about it. They denied knowing anything, but offered to fix it for me for free. That was very nice of them. They ordered the screen and I brought my phone in, but it was the wrong color. Again they held onto my phone for a good 20 minutes before realizing this. I had to bring it in the next day (waiting outside their office for 20 minutes after opening time before anyone showed up), and they replaced it in no time flat. I insisted on paying for it because they had been so nice, but I definitely regret that. When I got it home I noticed TWO new problems. I took it back to iRepair it Fast, who had just opened my phone up last week. They showed it to me and pointed out how there were new things wrong. There were plates missing that were there before, the battery was probably a different battery because it was taped differently and starting to expand (which was distorting the screen), the ear speaker needed to be replaced, and the screen was STILL an after market screen despite me confirming with iDoctor that they were giving me an original. In short, do not go here, not even to try to get them to fix a problem they caused. They either have no clue what they’re doing or they were actively mining my phone for parts.

I never post reviews on the web because I’m a laid back guy but the service here was horrible. This is not a fake review. I went to the store with my iPhone 8 with a broken screen. Somehow he broke the hardware after the adjustment and only offered to pay my deductible. He thought I was lying about the cost ($200) of my insurance plan and NEVER refunded his initial charge of $100. This guy is a total scam! Beware if something goes wrong!!

Paid almost 300 dollars to my iPhoneX for water damage on screen. They did replaced a screen, but it's not Oled screen, and it's so dim, 3d touch barely works, infarered sensor not functioning at all, the worst part is the earpiece speaker doesn't work at all. Then they told me that is not their responsibility. At the end I paid another 600 dollars to replaced my iPhoneX from apple store. Do not repair your phone here!

I could not be more happy with the service I received at this store. I broke the screen on my iphone 6 and the screen was not working. I had the insurance through my wireless carrier and when the tech came to my home to fix it, they told me it was not a screen problem and that I would need to pay the higher deductible and get a replacement phone. I went to Idoctor hoping they could find a way to at least get into the phone to salvage some pictures before I paid the deductible for a replacement. Troy took one look at the phone and said - you just need a new screen. I told him what the insurance tech told me and Troy was not pushy at all, he explained that the information the tech had given me was incorrect. He even showed me how they could get into the phone with a new screen. Sure enough - the new screen works perfectly and the phone is in full service. Troy saved my pictures and the additional deductible I would have had to pay to get a replacement phone. Thank you Troy! I hope to not need you again, but if do, I'll be back!

I went to this shop to fix my screen and microphone on my iphone 6s a few weeks ago. Troy was able to fix both of these things but shortly after getting it fixed (about 1 week) my phones speaker, charging port, vibration, and headphone port stopped working. I went to a local phone repair shop in my town today and was informed that not only was my phone missing 6 screws, but the wrong size screw was used to fix my phone which most likely started all of these other problems in the first place. Ended up having to pay another $50 to get this new problem fixed. I haven't had problems with this shop before but after this experience I will not be going back for future phone repairs. It seems they do not take their time to make sure they do a good job, and caused a problem that would not have happened had I not gone to them to fix my phone in the first place. Maybe they should consider getting a magnetic mat so they don't keep losing screws.

Troy is the man when it comes to your repair needs. I have called him countless times and he is able to troubleshoot and steer me in the right direction. If a manual repair is required, he is quick and uses quality parts that are priced right. Even the employees at the over priced genius place refer people to him. There is a reason he has been in business for over 9 years, completing over 100k repairs for repeat and satisfied customers. Much love and appreciation to the iDoc!!!

I've had the absolute worst experience at iDoctor in Pasadena. Please, save your money and get someone you can TRUST to repair your phone. Pay the price and take it to the Apple store instead of this shady business. Ladies, (or gentlemen), unless you want your personal photos and information on your phone potentially compromised and stolen, please avoid this business at all costs. I came to the iDoctor after reading reviews on Yelp. I had a cracked screen on an iPhone 5, which should have been simple enough to repair. After skimming through some of the reviews, I assumed the cost would be $75. Wrong - $141 after tax, which is only a few dollars less than the Apple store would have charged me. Troy replaced the cracked screen while I waited, and upon inspection of the phone I realized a few things had been changed, and most importantly, ALL OF MY PHOTOS WERE MISSING. I repeat, over 2000 of my PERSONAL PHOTOS had been wiped out. In addition, my apps were moved around, taken out of folders that I had created, and I had to rearrange my phone back to it's normal condition. Upon discussing with Troy, he assured me that they would "come back" (magically??). WRONG. Only AFTER he "worked" on my phone did he ask if I had the cloud set up (answer: NO). He never asked if I had backed up my phone, which should have been the first question. I gave it 24 hours, as instructed by Troy, and returned to iDoctor the next morning to complain. Before I returned, I also visited the Apple store, to ask about the issue. They assured me that a screen fix is actually quite simple, and my photos, or anything else on my phone for that matter, should NOT have been touched. Unfortunately in this case, it was. Upon discussing the problems with the phone, we concluded that the phone had been tampered with, and potentially compromised. What I mean, is that I believe the iDoctor plugged my phone into their computer and lifted my photos (and other information) from my phone, and accidentally deleted the content. For anyone reading this, THIS IS EXTREMELY FRIGHTENING AND SICKENING!! I can imagine how many other women or men have been put in this same situation without knowing it. Troy did refund my money, but was unable to replace the 2k + photos that he deleted. Strangely enough, when he was trying to troubleshoot the issue, he plugged my phone back into his computer - WHY?? He claims to have never plugged it in, in the first place, so why connect to troubleshoot??? Unfortunately for Troy, my husband is in law enforcement and we'll be taking further action as this is theft of personal property. This business is shady, and this guy is a HACK. The BBB will be notified as well as local law enforcement. I'm disgusted that someone like this has so many positive reviews. People save yourself a potentially terrible experience and pay to have the Apple store replace your cracked screen.
