I was visiting family in San Diego from Sacramento when one of the cooling pumps for the batteries in my Chevy Bolt EV failed. When I brought my car in, my service advisor, Chris Witt said it wasn't a part they keep in stock and that it would have to be ordered. When I explained that I was planning on driving home to Sacramento in a few days, Chris called around to multiple Chevy service centers in San Diego County until he found the part needed. This saved me at least a week (probably two weeks) and enabled me to drive home on schedule. Chris really went above and beyond for me and I want to express my appreciation. I'd like Chris to be recognized for providing exceptional customer service! David

I like the convenience of the location but they kept my car for 2 days for an oil change and a radio/computer reboot/update. I called a few times to find out the status and no one answered and no one called back until the next day (after I called again). It was promised a 1 day turn around with a possible 2 but they would call me and let me know. They did not call or answer my phone calls/messages. That is very frustrating. It would have been nice to at least know for sure that my car would need to stay overnight. Or at least have my calls answered. Basic stuff. But the work got done... so that was good.

Trust them above all others. My experience started great from the moment I spoke with the service advisor Rose. She booked the appointment around my schedule. Intake was easy! She gave realistic options for me while I waited for ordered parts to arrive. Brought my vehicle in because it would not pass emissions. Passed with flying colors after their diagnosis and repair. Can’t say enough about the service I felt. Thanks again Rose!

Aaron was awesome in having everything ready for us. We found our vehicle online and I told him I did not want to spend my entire day at the dealership for this purchase. He sent us paperwork to complete at home and when we arrived first thing in the morning he was prepared for us. We looked over the vehicle which I absolutely love, signed the finance paperwork and completed the purchase in under 2 hours. We were able to enjoy the rest of our day without spending hours just sitting around at the dealership. Fantastic experience!!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Alex (Rodriguez) was amazing and I don’t use that word lightly! He was very personable, polite, knowledgeable about the product, but most of all non-aggressive which is something I truly appreciated. The finance manager (I forget the his man) was also amazing! He treated me like a person than just a number. I’ll definitely be back to this dealership in the future.

The service shop performed maintenance I had explicitly declined, replace cabin air filter. Then asked if I would pay extra for the service. When I declined, the consultant asked if I would pay for the parts. I declined again since I change my own air filter. He then threatened by saying they would take the truck back to remove the air filter and replace it with my old one. At that point I asked to see a manager. I noted that the truck is finished, so every additional delay is in fact a cost to me. I asked if it made sense to waste more mechanic time removing and re-installing the old filter. He said he didn’t care. Then I asked if it made sense to put a part back in my truck after it was thrown in the trash. His threat made absolutely no sense unless he thought nothing of the liability from re-installing a part from the trash and possibly reusing the air filter he mistakenly placed in my truck. After concluding he would have to eat the cost, he remarked something to the effect of “I guess we’ll just hook you up and not charge you.” I stopped him and told to quit behaving like he was doing me a favor.

We had the best experience with Kearny Mesa Chevrolet from my initial conversation over the phone with Tyree to the start to finish impeccable customer service from Khoi. He was absolutely amazing and not a typical pushy car salesperson! He made things so enjoyable and easy. Jason was fantastic and make things happen so we were able to purchase our dream car. Kathy was so awesome with my little girl and helped keep her occupied when we needed a few minutes to focus on paperwork. And finally our experience with Mike in finance was quick and painless and actually fun at times. We tried to do everything with our two kids (5 months and 2 years) and everyone was so understanding and accommodating! I would absolutely recommend Kearny Mesa Chevrolet to anyone!

My Truck, 2019 Ram, was brought here through my insurance company, Overpriced estimate in my opinion but it’s insurance call so they started to fix it after a side collision. Took almost two months, said due to parts delivery,.. ok. Got it back and they didn’t install back step to the bed of the truck, it’s a kick step and was somewhat difficult for me to install, but okay. Maybe they just forgot. Called them and I was told by Mike that it was damaged.. I know it wasn’t because I used it to unload my truck after accident. It’s in the picture below is perfect shape after accident by the way. Had to call insurance and deal with them again. When I started to drive my truck I noticed annoying squeak from the rear left tire that I never had before. Called them and was told to bring it back any time, everything should be as it was prior to accident. Inspected breakers, those were okay. Finally I got a day off and took truck in,.. when again I was told they won’t see it today and that I’ll get a call… never did. Called next week again, and was told that alignment was done and I need to take it to Dodge dealership for inspection… very frustrating and not cool to be blowing off clients like that even if it’s insurance related.
