They misdiagnosed twice and caused a MAJOR engine knocking noise! The engine light is now flashing on and off and my Jeep is not even drivable now that they worked on it. First they replaced the water pump and spark plugs for $740 repair cost. I drove home and the engine light came back on and it started shaking while idling. Sam said to bring it back because it was the coils and he would replace 1-2 of the coils. They replaced coil and #2 was still misfiring. This was the second time they misdiagnosed. Then they did a leak down test and the test failed. He said "possible" cylinder head gasket leak and recommended a used or reman motor. When I drove my Jeep to Transmasters the engine light was on but it was driving fine. When I picked it up to take it to get another opinion because he had already misdiagnosed twice it had a MAJOR engine knocking noise, the engine light is flashing on and off and it isn't even drivable. They did something to cause a MAJOR problem and I can't even drive my Jeep now. I called Sam and he refuses to take responsibility for fixing what they did wrong. He said to take it to a Jeep dealership and have them diagnose it. He wants me to pay for this diagnosis out of my own pocket even though Transmasters caused the problem! Unbelievable!!

Took it in with a check engine light and a bunch of others flashing. I knew I was going to need some work done, and everything was right in line with what I was expecting. I took it in on Wednesday morning, they diagnosed it, ordered the parts, and had it fixed Thursday afternoon. The cost was exactly what I expected and I figure I have another 100k left on the Outback now. Happy. Service: Transmission repair

I brought my 2011 Ford F-150 EcoBoost in for an inspection as I had a fluid leak. They uncovered that it was rusted connections that needed replacement. They put the vehicle on a lift and showed me exactly where the issues were and what the resolution was. Prior to any work, they broke down what the costs were going to be and were super transparent. I highly recommend this shop and I will be back as I need future service on my vehicle.

The 'Check Engine Light' was on and the dashboard restarted in the middle of driving, causing a temporary lock of speed at ~ 20 mph. After realizing that I would need to spend a lot of time calling and waiting for the responses from the dealer to figure out how to send my car to their place safely, I found TransMasters on Google. Sam responded quickly and communicated in a very professional and friendly way. He helped me with the towing service and kept me updated during inspection and repairing. I was referred to Sam from another mechanic who wasn’t able to do the extensive work on my Honda Accord. It needed a ton of work and Sam helped me understand all the options involved in the repair and we both agreed to just swap the engine with a newer one instead of repairing the old one. With used car prices being so high I feel like this was the best option and after driving my car I am very happy with my decision. Sam had great communication the whole time and would update me as new things came up that needed attention and he also explained to me all the warranties envolved so I don’t have to worry for the foreseeable future. I am very happy with the work Sam and the guys at transmasters did for me and I will be using them as my sole mechanic moving forward. Oil leak around valve cover, torque rod on engine mount replaced, Power Steering pump replaced. Sam is really great and takes care of car. Thank you, Sam!! What a great experience in the middle of an unpleasant experience. We were so disappointed when the transmission went out on our van 10 hours from home. Then, no one in that area would even look at the van. So, I called Sam, and he welcomed our van to his shop. We towed it down ourselves and dropped it off. Sam very quickly diagnosed the problems, offered a couple of solutions, helped me choose the one that was best for my family, ordered the parts and completed the work in record time. I openly recommend this shop for all your automotive maintenance and repair needs. Back again...this time with our minivan. Sam was timely, professional, responsive...as before, a great experience. No one wants to go to the mechanic, but if you gotta go, Sam's the man!!

After getting a $10k quote from the dealer in Carlsbad for my transmission repair and a host of other repairs that were unnecessary, I took my 4Runner to Sam who diagnosed the issue promptly and gave me more than one option to repair or replace my aging transmission. This is my go to place for any automotive needs. They are honest, hard working, and do a good job. They are very communicative when they have your vehicle, I got my truck towed to them and they called me when they received it and kept me updated through our two days that they had it. They did a great job of answering my questions and making me feel comfortable about the work they were doing. They always asked before performing any services and told me exactly how much it was going to cost. I would have given them 5 stars but they forgot to put my engine cover back on and I had to go back and get it afterwards.
