My experiences, the leadership in this company is rotten to the core, a really toxic, hypocritical culture. Forget about diversity, equality and inclusion with this bank. They stereotype, pass judgement and discriminate. Best to go elsewhere.

Brendan and Stephanie gave terrible customer service in the drive up line. Please review with Brendan and Stephanie how to properly help customers through the drive up line

I was in complete distress when I called here... until Gabriel Belatorie immediately addressed my needs as well as calming my nerves due to multiple fraudulent charges on my account in the last few months. She is a gem and I wish I could thank her hand and thank her graciously!

Pretty standard bank but they have a lot of unnecessary small fees. I have a personal and business account with them and recently tried to download transaction data as an excel/csv file and they don't allow it other than recent data. They offered to manually export that data at $25/hour. This is something that every one of our other accounts it took two clicks to download anything I needed but First Bank seems to be really behind on the technology to do such a simple task and of course they want to charge for it. Really disappointed in them as a bank and it's been fine until now but definitely worth switching to literally any other modern bank.

I usually don't leave bad reviews unless i absolutely have to . If I could give negative stars, I would. WORST bank I have ever done business with! After literally 6 years of being with them.. they refused to refund me $35 dollars for an overdraft fee that I was wrongfully charged. i have been charged overdraft fees in the past but I understood considering i didnt have the money in my account. This time it was wrongfully charged and I called them 4 times and explained to them what had happened. I was more than patient enough with these guys considering they sent me 4 different cards with the chip not working. even then they gave me the run around between chase and first bank over $35. For me its not about the $35 but more about customer service. When I called and spoke to a rep regarding the refund she said she wont help me if i am “demanding” things. I simply asked her if she can refund me the money or close my account, whichever one was easier, because I was so frustrated even then i was super nice to her. Closed all my accounts with them and moved to U.S. bank. Keep that $35 as a donation you cheap Excuse for a bank.

Cinnamon has got to be one of the sweetest and bubbliest people I’ve talked to on the phone in quite some time! I felt like I was talking to a friend. She went above and beyond to help remedy the issue I was having with being out of state and getting them original copies of personal info that was needed. She called back promptly with a solution and put me at ease. No joke, best customer service I’ve had in awhile. I wish more people showed your kindness, it would be a better place.

Just opened an account at FirstBank for the first time. I was blown away by the kindness and customer service from the moment I walked in the door. Jaclyn was my new account rep. She was so patient and explained everything in a helpful way. I wish I could give her 10 stars! Excited to start banking here!

Not for the small business owner. Great bank if you’re only looking to use them as a checking and savings commodity. They will happily earn interest on your money and do it with a smile. Terrible bank when it comes time for them to return the favor in the form of lines of credit, loans, or credit cards. They claim to be a “relationship bank” but my experience does not reflect that sentiment. When applying for a loan. They will use your balance sheet against you to leverage a better deal for themselves. If they see assets in other banks, they will ask for it. If they see you own your home, to any degree, they will demand it as collateral. After 6 years of being their customer they told me the only way they would renew my EXISTING line of credit is if I transfer more money into their accounts from my other banks. Their discrimintory lending practices do not favor the small business owner who is passionate about their business. They would rather lend to those who bet on the real estate market.(yes the market is good, for now, but we all know the story and have paid the price) They have lost my business forever but the worst part is that they really don’t care. The VP told me to go elsewhere if I didn’t want to allow them to steal my business form another bank and secure my existing unsecured 25k line of credit with my 500k home. So, we are going elsewhere... IF YOU DECIDE TO MOVE FORWARD - Watch out for the loan origination fee of 1%. This CAN be waived. They may also make you reapply for the same line of credit each year, decreasing your credit score while they recharge the origination fee year after year. About me: I own an established business that has posted profits 4 of the last 5 years, have an excellent credit score, have assets outweighing my liabilities(personally and professionally), and have never defaulted during my six year business relationship with Firstbank or my ten year personal banking relationship with them. No reason to treat me like I’m going to default. But hey, they thrive off failing businesses by ensuring they can take everything if you hit hard times.

After 19 years of holding accounts with 1st Bank, a hold was placed on a check (issued by a large well-known bank) that I needed to cash during a family emergency. A 1st Bank representative told me over the phone early in the morning that I would be able to cash the check that day for the full amount, but I was later told by this branch supervisor that was not possible without speaking to the other bank. If I had been told of this, I could have easily set up communication between the banks immediately, instead of having to wait over the weekend. Due to the serious effects of this misinformation and then this supervisor's decision, my grown children and I will close all of our 1st Bank accounts and choose another that will serve us better.
